Cameras Overheat
After many issues with the cameras failing after several days I have determine that 3 of the 4 cameras I bought overheat. This is when the ambient temperature is over 73 degrees F. Very sad, nice camera but real bad quality. Amcrest product are normally very good like their PROHD series. I've never had a problem with those models - and I've bought 32 of them this year.

I contacted Amcrest and they promptly performed a RMA and replaced the bad camera with zero hassle
Ordered a few of these cameras. I was impressed with the range to clarity ratio they have. I can clearly see down the sidewalk and street at least x3 the distance I would have expected. I had one camera show up DOA. I contacted Amcrest and they promptly performed a RMA and replaced the bad camera with zero hassle.

Great quality camera that's outdoor rated and PoE.
I've been looking for an outdoor PoE camera to put up at the corner of my house and this one fits the bill. It's small enough that you can barely tell that it's there from 100'. The video is great quality and the kit contains everything I needed to get up and running in about an hour. I drill a 1" hole for the cabling to go through and it fit just fine. The camera is adjustable so you can get the perfect view no matter what direction you point it. It works perfectly with my Blue Iris v3.x which records motion from 10 different cameras. I'm also able to view it from their Android app outside of my internal network without having to open ports up in the firewall. Had to contact tech support and the answer was given promptly and resolved my issue.

Defective junk!!!
This camera is a total piece of crap. It won't connect to the provided software. Unfortunately, I waited too long to install it, and now I can't even return it. I plan to use it as a hammer, since it is fairly sturdy.

One Star
Would not work with my ip camera app...only allowed you to see one camera at a time.

Maybe as a system, the cameras standalone are useless IMO
I'm reviewing the camera itself as a standalone item, with the understanding that it is marketed as "compatible with all ONVIF NVRs." Definitely not compatible with all ONVIF NVRs because the camera has some non-ONVIF dependencies that make it not function. If you are willing to put this camera on the internet and use it "out of the box" then it's probably okay (though you'll have to buy a POE injector or switch, or a power supply)... Unfortunately this camera has some requirements that make it not fit for recommendation1. It requires DHCP -- There is a place to set a static IP, but it doesn't save unless the static IP is on the same network as DHCP, which is pointless in my case. Even after saving on the same network, the camera stops responding after some period of time and requires a reboot. After which point it still doesn't respond.2. It appears to try UPnP even when disabled3. It appears to require internet access to function -- if I put it on a private network with no internet access (like most PoE NVRs in the world) it doesn't work at all.4. It won't actually let me output 1080pBought 2x of these with the understanding that they're ONVIF compatible... and they may be, but the requirements above make them useless in my environment. They need a significant firmware update to make them useful.

TOP-NOTCH QUALITY ... SUPER GOOD PRICE
I received a sample of this IP CAMERA in exchange for an honest review. At only $73, this is an extraordinary IP camera and remarkably good value. It is "Plug n' Play" and does just about everything you would require of a device like this to do. Another great advantage is that it is "water-PROOF" and can be mounted on the exterior of your home, office or building. Many people pay more than three-hundred dollars for an IP Camera of this kind without gaining any quality or additional value.

I like how the mount works as it gives me more ...
I like how the mount works as it gives me more flexibility than some of the other cameras. This is POE and is working with the el-cheapo passive POE switch that I purchased. This camera does get a tad warm to the touch. Currently I am using it indoors. I will report back if I use more of these outdoors to see how it handles the summer heat. I wish the connector was less bulky so I didn't have to drill as large of hole. The IR leds are pretty bright visible to the eye. In darkeness you can't miss it.I received this item at a discount.
