Got this as one of the birthday gifts for my brother -- he's been wanting a cool letter opener in his office. He loves it!This is really stunning work, and I certainly give my appreciation to the creator of the piece. I've seen hand forged items go for several hundred dollars, and, considering not just the metal work here, but the leather work as well, this is just an incredible value at the price point offered.The work is flawless, the blade is razor sharp, the leather wrap and sheath are perfect -- this is just super quality, period!The look is very much near to fantasy almost, or certainly old world, and could compliment a kind of Celtic or Norse feeling, or just Medieval. My brother is very much into Norse stuff, and this fit right in to other kinds of pieces he has on display.The five star reviews are very much deserved here! My brother wants to check out the rest of what Toferner offers. Seems there used to be a website for their products, but it is not online at present, but thankfully it seems Amazon carries a few things.This is an excellent product, and if you're looking for something like this, for yourself or for a gift, you can't go wrong on this one.Highly recommend!!!

It is well made, the sheath is very unique as it is tooled with the shape of the knife. I use the knife as a dedicated package opener.

I ordered this little knife to use as a letter opener, and I'm using it for so many things (opening mail and boxes, in my herb garden...). This is good quality, comes sharpened, the leather work is beautiful. The whole thing is beautiful. I am really pleased, and would definitely buy from this company again.

I got tired of the cheap plastic letter openers. Found this one and gave it a go. This is a solid, beautifully crafted piece. It was sharp from day 1, however, it was a bit rough edged so I worked it with a honing steel for a few moments to smooth it. The leather sheath is sturdy and tight. I will be ordering a few more as gifts.

Needed a letter opener after joining a group of pen pals, but I didn't like the look of most other options. This is simple, sturdy, and perfectly fits my aesthetics! Guests who have seen it have all unsheathed it from its leather holder and asked why I have a tiny dagger. Great conversation starter.It's very sharp, so I've been worried that I'll cut myself on it when opening a letter with it, but so far so good. I can't think of a reason someone purchasing this would be dissatisfied.

This is great for opening letters! not so much for fending off wild pigs….Came sharp and well made; the craftsmanship is really beautiful.It is a little small though if you have need to protect yourself from roaming boar..I will definitely be ordering a second one! mainly because I threw my previous one at the hog before it chased me up a tree for several hours before the wife saved me.

The media could not be loaded. This is such a wonderfully made knife. It is perfectly balanced and came very sharp. I love the length of the handle which is very nicely wrapped in leather and fits perfectly in my hand! Completely worth the price and arrived next day for me!💫

It's very dull, tears paper rather than a smooth cut. Great butter knife. Don't recommend this product.

È il candidato ideale per divenire l'edc per eccellenza!!! Le misure sono ideali per tutti i piccoli lavori che possono capitare durante una giornata di lavoro, un escursione,una gita al lago. È sufficientemente affilato (anche se un paio di passate sulle pietre la devo dare), elegante e al tempo stesso rustico ed anticato, l'impugnatura è lasciata ad una fettuccia in pelle che garantisce il grip necessario,il ricciolo sul "codolo" è utile a garantire la presa nei lavori di precisione. Arriva con un meraviglioso fodero in pelle,cucito e marchiato "Toferner".... Un acquisto perfetto per chi deve fare un regalo non usuale,per chi ama portare un coltello questo ha il carattere giusto per essere portato per diverso tempo....innsomna lo consiglio e lo ricomprerò sicuramente!!!

J'ai lu quelques commentaires se plaignant de la taille du couteau ; je dirai qu'il faut savoir lire l'annonce. Tout y est parfaitement renseigné, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas.C'est un bel objet d'un rapport qualité prix exceptionnel qui a déjà trouvé sa place dans ma collection.
