Buy it, spend the time, and save over $500
I fell in love with the fat leather steering wheel in the Toyota Tacoma that I just sold, and wanted the same for the Infiniti G37 Coupe I just bought. Having already found this item on Amazon, I doubted my patience, so I priced the work from an outfit in Texas, and was quoted $599.Obviously, I opted for the Loncky DIY wrap. At the time it was $62.36. I also purchased a used wheel in poor condition from a junk yard for $30, and cleaned it thoroughly. I set aside several hours on a Saturday, and set to work after reading the instructions, and watching some YouTube videos. Between positioning the wrap carefully using the provided double side tape and stitching, I spent probably 4 hours. As any skilled maker of things will tell you, you go to school on the first one. I would likely complete the job in half the time if I had to do it again...The photo is in direct sun, so it all looks grey, but the wrap is black with light grey stitch. I chose the stitch to match the aluminum accents in the Infiniti interior. The wrap also has that great fresh leather odor. Love it.So for a total of less than $100, I have a custom steering wheel that added the thickness I was looking for. Longevity is yet to be seen, and I will report if the Loncky leather or stitching fails in that regard. Here's a slight catch if you choose to do this project in the manner that I did. The used wheel that I bought did not line up perfectly straight like the original wheel did. It was crooked to left on one spline, and crooked to the right on the very next spline. I chose the closest, and had a suspension alignment performed (at a discount from my employer) for an additional $95. Everything is perfectly straight now, but it added an additional expense I didn't expect... So I saved more like $400, but if you wrap your original wheel, you'll save more like $530 over paying someone else.

Best upgrade for an aging car
This is a review I should have posted a long time ago. I bought this cover in 2016, and three years later it has held up very well. My original steering wheel was peeling and felt gross to handle. This immediately made the car feel new again. It’s real leather, and very high quality stuff.Install is fairly easy, but it takes a lot of time. One of the hardest parts is getting the fabric to tuck into the plastic parts of the wheel. Don’t be afraid to give the edges a significant amount of force. I was using both hands to force the fabric in, and I’m a pretty strong guy.Overall, it looks and feels amazing, and having new custom fit leather is so much better than cheapo covers.Photo is taken now, 3 years later. A little bit oily from my sweaty hands, was definitely much prettier when new 😁

Don't make the same mistake we did!!!
Taking back previous review. Will still be a pain to stitch, but misunderstood instructions and now realize needle does not go thru stitch hole, but thru/under thread. Still not completely happy with purchase, but will have to live with it.

Not that easy to position leather in a way that backing is stuffed. My backing sticks out.... Best to be done by a professional. Good quality leather though!

Definitely get it!
I'm amazed that people can give this product a poor rating because they failed to install it properly. I've never done this before but my work looks fantastic. It's not perfect, but if I were to do a second one, having learned what I did wrong the first time it would look amazing. The product itself is very high quality and for the price I think it's a bargain and would definitely do it again. I highly recommend it. But I also recommend that you work slowly and be patient. Doing this correctly is basically an art. It took me five hours of patient work, but it was well worth it. It completely changes the feel of my car!
