Put in coffee (or whatever) and press down on the lid. All the air is pushed out. Pull up and the air rushes in and the top comes off easily. I notice the freshness of both my coffee beans and ground. Truly a brilliant and excellent product.

Works well. I opened my package and immediately dropped this thick container, fearing the worst I was pleasantly surprised by survival via fall and bouncing off 3 items and not only the glass didn't break, the lid stayed firmly pushed in and had no indication of flipping out.

I had purchased one of these containers at TJ Maxx and liked it so much I searched Amazon. I use it for coffee and prefer this over any other container I have found. My only wish is that the handle be longer. The first one I purchased had a longer handle and I prefer it. I do recommend this container. It is air tight and so easy to use.

Not really airtight. Glass appears thin.

Has the Gloss top, so much better than the rubber.

This little container is awesome! You can hear the air being pushed out as you push the lid down further. Even if you only have a tiny bit of herbs (or whatever) in the container, you can push the lid all the way down until it's touching, ensuring no stale oxygen trapped inside the container. Gonna get a set of these.

If they were a bit cheaper, I'd have many.

Dog treats. I dropped it on a stone floor. My fault but replacement glass should be available.

The lid is all plastic and it does not work as well as the larger sizes.

I know this is meant for dry foods but I bought this to store guacamole.This didn't work as well as I was hoping but it's still does the job:There is still air at the lid area so it still goes brown there but everything underneath is still fresh.
