I've done two of these now. It can be a bit** to remove the oil pan because the gasket sticks hard to the pan, but you must separate the gasket from the pan and leave the gasket on the block because the oil pump pickup tube bolts to the gasket. These Fel-Pros are quality gaskets though and they come with a new O-ring for the pickup tube. Zero leaks after replacement on the two I've done. If you wind up mangling the oil pan flange getting it off, Amazon sells a good quality Dorman pan for a very reasonable price.

Great replace for my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7
I needed a new oil pan gasket as I was installing a new oil pan on my 4.7. You will need to drop the front differential to do this job. Once removed, unbolt the rear bracket and you can access to rear oil pan bolts. Not too tough. Took me about 2-3 hours to do.
