This is great for lower back pain. Just a minute or so in the microwave then you can strap this heating pad around your midsection and go about doing whatever you need to do, but you get the benefit of heat therapy while you're doing it. Also perfect for sitting or sleeping. I didn't notice any smell when heating this up. The material is comfortable and high quality. I've used this heating pad about 20 times so far and have had no issues with it whatsoever. The pad stays warm for about 15-20 minutes, but that's ideally the amount of time you should be applying heat, anyway, but I like to heat mine up multiple times in a row, but even so it hasn't diminished the effectiveness or created any burning smell. I'd highly recommend.

PURCHASED A new PAIR. I store/TOSS THEM IN THE FREEZER(OR GENTLY HEAT IF YOU'RE COLD) AND THEY ARE TERRIFIC. Lengthy enough to wrap the back of your neck--or anywhere you seek relief. I purchased my first pair 10 years ago and they're still going strong. One of the FEW things today that actually WORK! p s My sister lays one across her big Husky dog's tummy in the sweltering heat --he lays down his head and falls asleep. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I've never owned one of these microwavable heating pads before but I purchased because I was having a minor surgery and recovery recommended a heating pad. The heat doesn't last so long (maybe 15-20 minutes if you are under a blanket) but this was a huge comfort the day of my surgery. For that alone is was easily worth the purchase price to me.The Velcro belt is a great feature, my hips are about 48 inches and I could still position where I needed to. Also, the fabric is a nice weight cotton so while in bed/sitting the pad stays put and doesn't slide around even if you aren't using the belt.Finally, two points: there is a very slight rice smell when microwaving that I found really pleasant and calming. Second, the construction feels somehow very hand crafted, like some clever aunt or cousin knew you were going to be needing one and sewed it up for you. It's like getting a get-well package from a real person.

This product was very well made and innovative compared to other hot/cold pads I have used in the past. Material used is very comfortable and large enough to cover my lower back from side to side. Appreciate that it is washable. Also, the attached velcro band is comfortable/wide enough and very well attached. I am able to wrap around using the band and walk around doing other tasks. I have used both for cold and hot application. Overall great product and great value. Oh, and pleased that it is "Made in the USA.

I love it more than I expected to! It’s beautiful and well made and the strap with Velcro holds it in place, so I am able to move around and am not stuck sitting in a chair! I use it for lower back pain and so far I’m very happy. I’d love a little lavender scent added, but it’s already a great product in my opinion.

When I opened the package, I first loved the color. Purple is my favorite! Then I read Made in The U.S.A. I will come back to this seller over and over again. The sewing is perfect and the heat relief is just right for my sciatica pain. We need more small businesses like yours!

Great product. The heat pads sit where I want them due to the elastic band attachment. I can easily move around without them getting loose. I suppose the only negative is that i wish they held the heat a bit longer
