UFOs, JFK, and Elvis: Conspiracies You Don't Have to Be Crazy to Believe

I must admit to being skeptical about this dubious title (when Elvis is mentioned, one could loose readers), but thanks to the sample system I decided this comedic investigator was anything but a Elvis "wing nut" and instead had done extensive research into the covert world of ours that has twisted historical facts and been the hidden inventors of self-serving cover for crimes against the state in all manner of areas, from JFK's assassination to UFO's and the WW II, German intense work on achieving their own discs. Belzer laces his chapters with humor to lighten subjects that are anything but SNL material. He probes his topics that would elicit curiosity (hopefully) from the most skeptical cynics who shut their minds whenever a whiff of "conspiracy" is mentioned; that in itself is quite a self-serving trick to shield true "evil doers" from ever being made accountable for their crimes, plots/conspiracies that have countless, knowledgeable victims who could, if they didn't meet with impossible "suicides," brought light to who the perpetrators of treason, lies to cover false flag events, etc. that have marred our national reputation, lead to needless wars and a loss of our constitutional rights! Hopefully Belzer's book will lead the average person to at least entertain the ideas presented here and maybe investigate for themselves the curious facts that the press, for their own self-serving motives, have been complicit in promoting lies/ instead of truths to explain national, tragic events that have lead the nation in paths that could only be viewed as reprehensible. Maybe the all too compliant press who know the "straight skinny" yet assiduously cover for the villains are just as corrupt and evil as the dark doers they so loudly extoll as heroes!

Has a sense of humor and I like the way its laid out, easy to read, lots of info. I even ordered another one of his book because of how much a like this one. Not that much on Elvis though.

The description and title of book suggests that there is information on Elvis Presley and conspiracy theory. However, when book arrived, absolutely not 1 chapter was devoted or mentioned Elvis Presley. Very misleading!!

Possibly the best book with all the FACTS of the JFK assassination, proving that LBJ, Nixon, and J. Edgar Hoover were all inside the planning of the murder of an American President. A silent coup d'état, never seen before in any government, and they pulled it off and fooled the whole country for 4 decades, or more.This is a MUST READ, and should be placed in every school in the nation. It's a part of history.And, it is all verifiable!

Interesting book. It just made me even more confused, though, over all the events that have taken place. Things could have happened his way, and they could have happened the official way. Deep in my gut, though, I have never been able to accept that Oswald could have been working all alone. And having him killed before learning more from him fits a conspiracy. Then his killer suddenly getting cancer and dying. It is a book that makes you stop and think. If you lived through all these like I did, you will probably wonder till you die if we know the truth or not about them.

This man tells it like it is...or was. There are so many evil people in this country and this world...but the truth will be known, and this wonderful book is hitting the nail on the head!Get the book, and this man will give you the truth that you have always suspected.The humor is a plus,too!

This is an excellent book that makes more sense than what was told to us by our pathetic government. Richard Belzer really does his homework and I am so thankful that he put his neck out to give us the truth of what really happened and this is just the tip of the iceberg of what he has found out through a lot of research. I am looking forward to the newest book he has written 'Dead Wriong'. I am sure he will have more of what we need and that is the truth.

Fun to read, knows his stuff

Funny, witty, not overly committed to the theories themselves. A good two thirds of this book are about JFK, then the remainder is about the US government covering up the existence of aliens. Elvis may be briefly mentioned in a line or so. Entertaining read, I'd recommend it. Just don't take it seriously.

I love this guy from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit & although he plays a conspiracy spouting detective in the series his writing is great. This book is the ultimate for JFK assassination conspiracy theorists. Every word rings true & you can feel his anger & shame about the result of the Warren Commission (appointed by resident Johnson after the assassination). No point in reading this if UFO's, JFK & Elvis don't interest you. I've not finished it yet & have just started on the UFO section & am looking forward to reading the rest of this lovely, funny nutcase. Keep it up Belz.

I bought this book after reading reviews here and elsewhere and I have not been disappointed. Very few of us, I would wager have the time or resources to investigate the dark deeds that pervade our lives so it comes as a relief when someone gathers the evidence together and produces a compelling piece of journalism.Richard Belzer has obviously done his homework and in this book provides compelling evidence for systematic cover-ups by the establishment. Along the way he gives examples of anomalies in testimonies which must surely leave the reader with doubts about the official versions of events. It is all done with style and insight and not a little humour. Even if you do not go along with conspiracy theories, this book is still well worth a read.

A good read but at times a little long winded but still glad I read it as it did give me some interesting factoids! Bit expensive though and there are better books on the subject out there.
