Great & Easy Solution for Your Tub/Shower!
For yearsI have wanted a curved shower curtain rod for my tub/shower. I've experienced one in my son's guest bath and really enjoyed the extra space that it gives you in the shower. My 35 year old straight tension rod finally gave out so I started my Amazon search for a new one. Most rods that I found had to be permanently mounted (screwed in the tile) and I didn't want to do that for several reasons.Recently I found several available on Amazon that were tension mountable. The only downside was that the added extension depth was only about 6" and I thought that I wanted more than that, I decided to give one a try and I'm glad I did,I chose the Moen version based on their reputation in the plumbing hardware world. It was relatively easy to install. I did it myself but it would have been a little easier with help from one other person. It is sturdy and looks great. I would recommend this rod without reservation!

best curved shower rod, period
i don't often leave reviews, but this product from moen proves the exception. i don't see how anyone could give this less than five stars; it is by far the best made shower rod i have ever seen. sturdy and high quality materials. ingenious design with button hole adjustment plus a cam tightener for perfect tension. beautiful finish. the end of rod covers are a definite plus.if you are looking for a high quality, easy to install curved shower rod, look no further. this is it.

Nice curves
Easy to install and holds my 8 pound curtain without an issue. Buy yourself some good hangers that wont rust out as most of these will eventually rust from the metal to metal contact. They sell ceramic ones that will not rust and have a good smooth rolling action. Time will tell if this will rust but so far its looking great in my guest bathroom

YES! Works great, easy to hang
Being attacked by the shower curtain mid shower is incredibly annoying. This solves it, gives you much more breathing room and no sticking curtain liner. YAY. I love not having to leave drill holes as I'm a renter. Super easy to install, just remember 2 important things. 1. add the end pieces on before you start, and 2. make sure the portion of the bar with the buttons and holes (for getting the correct width) is face down so it will not interfere with your curtain rings. As noted by another reviewer, yes there is some space between the bar and the edge pieces, but there has to be in order to compensate for different angles. Different length showers will result in a different angle coming from the wall. that space is necessary to allow for this. Highly recommend, more space, easy to hang!

Moen CSR2172CH - The Best Adjustable Curved Shower Rod I've Had
This review is specifically for "Moen CSR2172CH 5-Foot Adjustable Tension Single Curved Shower Curtain Rod, Chrome". I've tried several Adjustable Tension Curved rods over the last decade - this is by far the best one so far.PROS:- The metal rod is made from is thick and sturdy - not cheap like on most of these types rods- Two rod pieces (yes, there are two pieces) join in the middle with a ball detent. This is one of the reasons this design is so much better compared to others. Other rod designs rely on an INTERNAL tension spring - this does NOT have an internal spring. This detent is what holds the rod in place. Watch Moen video that shows this particular feature.- Once you set this detent, the 2nd important pieces of the design is the Adjustable large nut that provides the final tension (again, it is NOT spring based, but rather a thread based large nut that can be tightened/un-tightened by hand). But, you have to be careful - it is very strong and you can actually crack a tile or make a dent in a wall by over-extending/expanding it.- Once installation is completed, the covers click nicely over the hardware on the ends of the rod.- No tools required! But installation with two people is much easier.- Once the rod is in place, it does not move or slack over time. And no, don't try to hang on it! :)- Two months in - so far no rust of any kind on any parts of the rodCONS:- The detent in the middle does not provide for a smooth look, but I'll take this rather than the rod tension not working and the rod falling down.

Looks like a real nice and well-made shower rod.
Looks great but I had to have someone else put it up due to health issues. I don't know how hard or easy it was to put up, but he did say there were 12 steps to follow. Doesn't sound too easy to me. Love the curved rod as it gives you more elbow room when showering. Seems to be holding up well. Don't know about the rust resistance yet as it's only been up about 3 weeks now.

Not good quality
The thing has been a total headache as long as I have had it. We were so happy with it when we first put it up. But it will not hold the tension to keep the rod up. It bows down after just a week or two and you have to readjust. It has left a black mark on both sides of the wall because we have to readjust it so often. Now it will not get tight and keep the rod up at all; it bows down like a U and looks so terrible and the curtain won't stay closed because it slides down the U. I only paid this much for a curtain rod, to get the extra space in the shower. Looks good initially, but does not hold up at all. Don't waste your money. Just get the regular rod.

Easy to install, solid, lots of extra room
Tried another brand before this and this design is much better. It's easily installable by a single person, very solid once installed, and it looks great. Instructions are clear, but I wish they had called out to check if the adjustment screw at the end was all the way in before starting - I assumed it was my first go around, and it didn't arrive that way, and you definitely want to start the installation with that all the way short. Make sure to leave enough room at the ends for the decorative covers, and don't forget to put the little bushing between the two rods in place before tightening it, and you'll be swinging your elbows free in your shower in no time at all! Super pleased with this purchase.
