I have never been very impressed with formal dining ware nor have I understood the whole concept of it. Not to mention it can be terribly expensive, and the worry of having something break all the time kind of takes the fun out of using it. Some of my favorite purchases has been from Corelle because I have liked some their patterns, they are not terribly expensive, and they don't break easily.byzoo is all of those! I purchased the Hypno Orange based purely on the color and design and I'm so happyI did. The four tumblers feel quite sturdy and are a good size. The plates are a pretty good size too. And like the description they are somewhat lightweight but solid. The solid colored plates are a little larger than the ones with the design. The solid plates would be perfect for lunch or dinner, while the one with the design would more of a salad or lunch plate (can be used for dessert too, but bigger than the conventional dessert plate) . I can't speak to the durability of them as I haven't had them very long, however, I have cereal bowls made of melamine and they have survived the dishwasher and general everyday use and they are still like brand new.If I were getting married, these would be on my registry!!! They're fun, modern, you don't have to worry about them breaking (everyone can use them, even children) and the price is fantastic! Try them, you won't be disappointed!

My plates came with a ring stain on them. They were a gift from my Dad and I email the company twice with pictures and never heard anything back. I thought about returning them through Amazon but It just seemed like such a hassle because they were gifts.so much for good customer service.
