Good book 👍
Good for a quick read. I loved the way the past stories of characters were written in flashbacks and perfectly entwined with their present. The incidents have been viewed from every characters POV, giving audience a chance to decide who's the villain and who's the victim.

A good thriller for beginners.
The plot was nice but predictable. I found the pattern similar to most other mystery thrillers and already knew what was gonna happen a few pages in. Still, if u have a newfound interest in thrillers then this wud be a decent option.

Do not buy it. I'm sorry but the story is not good, it doesn't make any sense the whole time. Terrible characters, bad plot line.

This Book Will Hook You
Pitcher weaves another twisty plot in her YA thriller, This Lie Will Kill you. Well-developed characters with cruelly intertwined pasts are all invited to a mystery dinner party in an isolated mansion. There, they must compete to solve a murder, and the winner is promised a $50,000 scholarship to the school of his or her choice. But are they there to solve the murder of one of their classmates--and the love of one of their lives--that happened after a party one year ago? All of them were involved, and all of them have lied about what happened that night: to each other, to their parents, and to the police. Or is the murder going to happen during the dinner party, with one of the six as the victim?Immediately upon their arrival, horrifying things begin to happen. One member of their group sniffs his drink, afraid it may have been poisoned, and keels over before the liquid even touches his lips. Finger pointing and accusations ensue, and as their past lies come to the surface, the six are pitted against each other in what becomes a terrifying game of survival.I wouldn't categorize this book as "horror;" rather "suspense" or "dark YA." The pace is fast, the prose is beautifully written, and the truths that come to light will surprise you until the last page.

Well written novel
Well written novel, and like the narrative. After a while of reading similar novels, we need more innovation in the storyline, though.

messy and confusing
This book started really good then descended into what felt like a child wrote it. Some sentences I found barely legible and I was almost unable to follow what was happening. The twist wasn’t even a twist, you could see it coming a mile away. The ending was just odd. Very good idea for a book just badly executed.

Great Read
You know I have a bit of a penchant for Young Adult/New Adult crime fiction and recently I've been indulging myself. One of the books I've devoured over the past few months was This Lie Will Kill You by Chelsea Pitcher. II'd never read a Pitcher novel before but will certainly be doing so now.For all you Agatha Christie fans out there this one is a must. It's a modern US take on the locked room mystery and it is a great read.Something very tragic happens at a party a year previously and a boy ends up dead. A year on, and things have never been the same for five young people as they struggle to come to terms with what happened at the party. When a mysterious invite arrives each of the five end up at a secluded house to face their demons from the night when their friend died. This YA story is so full of twists and turns it had me reeling at times. As we're taken into the mind of each of the five guests we learn more about the secrets they hold and about how far they will go to keep them.Pitcher manages to create a suspenseful, well plotted mystery that kept me stumped right till the very end.Brilliant observations of teen life, problems, thoughts and actions, I thoroughly enjoyed this and look forward to reading more from this author.
