Richard Scarry's What Do People Do All Day? (Richard Scarry's Busy World)

My 4 year old and I love reading this book together. It’s such a great way to teach her about how the world works - where does electricity come from? How are clothes made? What do farmers do? How is a road made? Etc.Each story is short, and is supported by wonderful pictures. Perfect for pre-schoolers.

This is a great book for exposing children to the idea of work and the joy it can bring. When my children were small they would "try out" jobs by mimicking the Richard Scarry characters. We baked pies like the Pie Rats! Such fun!

Bought this for our 3 & 4 yr Olds. The pictures are so fun to look at. Richard Scarry put a TON of thought and details into the stories/pictures. It's really quite a masterpiece, the stories are short and entertaining and explains at a childs level. Our 3 yr will sit and look for a long long time on his own. I firmly believe in little to no screen time and these big picture books are win win. We bought all the ones Amazon has! MIL gifted us a Richard Scarry giant floor puzzle from the eighties that matches the cover of this book- sorta. Wish they sold more!! Bring back the classics! You won't have to be careful with this reading material, Thank you Amazon.

There are so many positive role models for every imaginable job! This could be used for a variety of ages. Storytime with this book has endless possibilities.

My family is discovering Richard Scarry all over again with the Grandkids. I bought this used and it came in great condition, just as promised. It was a bit pricey, mostly due to the shipping, but it was worth it.

Had this book as a child, bought it to read to my grandkids. It's full of action - the pages are crammed with pictures that you have to keep coming back to, to see little things you've missed. Love it!
