Pet Grooming Glove Brush for Dog & Cat Deshedding - Better Petter by Pet Thunder

The media could not be loaded.  Wow- I have to admit I was skeptical about these. I've had poor luck with similar products in the past. Either they don't actually groom your dog, or they're so cheaply made that they fall apart after one or two washings.I can happily say that neither is the case with this grooming glove. It's really well designed and sturdy with a nice breathable material that would likely make it comfortable to wear for a long period of time. However, my experience is that you won't wear this for a long period of time (unless you're grooming a herd of sheep or something equally ridiculous) because it is so darn good at what it does!I should say first that my dog hates brushes and combs. She's normally very calm and obedient... but the minute I break out the brush, she heads for the hills. And I hate using brushes anyway because you end up with that oily dog coat residue all over your hand and have to stop and clean the brush every pass or two through their coat. Yuck. not fun especially when your dog is squirming around trying to escape. As a result, I didn't groom my dog often enough, and my house was awash in shed fur.This glove, however, changed all that. My dog LOVES it, because it's basically just like I'm petting her. I love it because it really takes the fur off her, and actually seems to clean itself as I go along- the fur just comes right off and blows away (bonus for birds who use it for their nests later I suppose). Finally, my Roomba is happier too because she's not choking on pet fur and dander any longer.Anyway, I highly recommend this- it's a very cool product and has seriously changed how I'm going to groom my dog from here on out. The media could not be loaded.  I have two cats - one goes nuts for this glove, the other prefers a gentle brush but is slowly warming to it. Avoid the face area as it startles them, stick to the body and be gentle. Before long they are addicted. For cleaning - wait until there is a nice thick mat of hair - it comes off easier. A winner of a product!UPDATE, a year and half later and I have had to toss the glove as it is disintegrating. The little rubber bits are falling off. I guess it was worth the price for 18 months of pleasure.

The minute I opened the box I called over one of my dog's and had them sit to be groomed. The first one instantly got real calm and stared at me. I stopped, thinking it was hurting him, but instead he nudged my hand and asked for me to continue. After a few minutes the glove had enough hair that I had to remove the fur. The first dog was a short hair and about 80% of the hair came off with one swipe. I called over the long haired dog and began to groom her. The first dog came over and tried to get between the glove and the second dog. It was hilarious. After a few minutes I removed the accumulated hair and it was easier to peel off and about 95% of the hair came off easily. I would say both dogs give it a 5 star rating.

This glove does exactly what it's supposed to do - get loose pet hair off when you pet them. I've had other gloves just like this one and they all seem to work just fine. The only thing I don't like about this glove is that the company that it came from has emailed me several times asking me to leave a review. So my review is that the glove works great but the endless emails begging for a review are highly annoying.

I bought this for a friend, who is a pet groomer, as a gift with the idea she could check it out to see how well it works (the pressure of what do I get as a gift). As it turns out she has only tried it on short haired dogs so far and says it works much better than a brush. Good enough for me so I'll be getting one to try on my long haired pooch, update to come.Well its a dropped star from first review. I bought one for Pyrenees, longish hair, it didn't work as well as a long bristled brush. To add it does work well on our short haired cats. bottom line from me would be if you are dealing with short hair it's good, long hair I'd pass.

So far so good. Our two dogs have taken to the product. I bought it for our long haired dog and it worked well. Also used it on the short haired dog and I was surprised how well it worked on her also.The glove is a little big. I tightened it around the wrist with the Velcro and it keeps it from falling off. The glove is still a little wiggly from the looseness but I manage just fine.Will be trying to use it daily.

My golden retriever is skittish when being brushed, always trying to turn away from the side I am brushing. With this glove, he loves the massaging effect and remain calm as I brush him all over. The rubber nodules grab a fair amount of loose hair -especially during shedding times of the year - and it is relatively easy to pull the loose hairs from the brush (once you get the hang of it). There is a velcro fastner on the back of the wrist, which makes this glove a one-size-fits-all.

Well let me tell you my boy lives his new groomer.. He is a short hair cat(Cornish rex)but this gloves gets all the under fur off of him. It fits right onto your hand just like a glove.. Whenever he sees us with it in our hand he goes nuts & starts crying because he must love the feel of this on him. Of course It has rubbery type comb/bristles so not to hurt skin of any fur baby. As far as cleaning it it is easier enough but I believe do to our boys fur being so soft it's kinda fly away but it does stick to glove & easier enough to peel away from glove.. Due to this little complaint I do don't feel this review deserves anything lower.. I still feel it warrants my 5 star's.. thanks pet thunder my boy loves loves loves it..

Works really well, would highly recommend - bought to use on my ragdoll kittens; now I just need to figure out how to get them to sit nicely for grooming and not play fight with the glove! :). They are much happpier with this than the wire brush.

My cats love this grooming mitten, to the extent of getting jealous when the other one is being groomed! It has removed loads of loose fur, and they genuyinely love the sensation.

Great massaging glove for the cat, He really enjoys his daily brushing.

Not to keen on this cats enjoy being stroked with it but doesn't remove much fur

Gets a lot of hair out. Doesn’t hurt the cat. Well made and looks like it will last.
