I straightened my hair the first time i used it because my beard wasnt long enough and it worked great. Then my beard got long enough and I have used it a few times now, and it works great. Pulls the hair down into place before you apply your beard butter or whatever you use to help it keep shape. Gave my beard another inch or 2 in legnth it felt like. Haha. Great product overall.
