has anyone screwed theirs in to keep it secure? i do see two holes inside the armrest that looks like it could be screwed down. any known wires?

I did not screw mine down and it has been an issue exactly once in three years. I do occasionally bump it wrong and knock it out of place, but only once did i do it so badly that the USB charging wire got twisted up under it. I drove like that for a few days before realizing something was amiss... or perhaps, a mister? (Ba-dum tiss!) Sorry. Anyhoo, that was the only issue I have had. Oh, and the seatbelts became a bit more difficult to latch, but I'm a fat man, and that's not what you were asking about.
