Chef Harvey HIC Harold Import Apple Corer, Black

I had an apple corer like this one years ago and have been looking for another one since. All those that I have seen make the hole all the way through the apple.When I make a baked apple I want a hole in the apple that still has a BOTTOM so the butter, sugar cinnamon, etc. do not run out.If this is like the one I used to have, it will core the apple leaving a cavity that can be filled.  Apple Corer - 4407

I was very happy to receive my new corer as it replaced one I had for 15 years that finally got too dull to cut through my grapefruit. The first couple of times I used the corer it cut through my grapefruit with ease. Today I used it and the tip of the blade broke off into my grapefruit. Good thing I noticed it because it was mixed it with my grapefruit. That would not have been good it I did not notice it and would have eaten my grapefruit with a metal blade in it.The corer does cut well but be careful as no one needs to have the same thing happen to them.Amber LynnStratford, CT

I have to say that I did not like this apple core. I tried doing 6 apples with it and it about tore my hand up. It is not as sturdy as previous ones I have tried. I was very disappointed with it. I read all the reviews on it and thought I would give it a try as it had some good reviews. Well as for me I tossed it out.

Baking day has come and gone, and this worked great.

This product removes a core about 1.25" wide, which is perfect for baked apples (the more stuffing, the better). It's also pretty easy to use, and not to break through the bottom of the apple. And it's quick. Sure beats using a knife!
