This is a gorgeous little blanket, or a generous throw. I show it folded in half stretched out along the couch, which seats 3 regular sized adults easily and comfortably. Pay attention to the dimensions of the blanket you order, because you might be sad if you get the smaller size, and thought you were ordering the larger size. I use this as an extremely lightweight but warm layer on my bed, because my hormones don't care what the season or temperature is: if they decide I'm going to freeze in the middle of summer, I freeze; and if they decide I should sweat like a racehorse running the Triple Crown races in a single day, then I will sweat. This piece of usable art takes all in stride. It is big enough to wrap up in, and for two adults to snuggle up together under it. It is wool, and it is affordable, so it does retain a bit of wool's characteristic scratchiness, but it is not itch-inducing. The weave is a tiny bit looser than I would prefer, but as you can see from the close up photo of the tag, this isn't a gauzy weave! I wouldn't use it as a picnic blanket, because I don't use semi-scratchy anything, no matter the price, for a picnic blanket! The review that says it's too scratchy for a picnic blanket is absolutely correct, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have other redeeming features! Another review mentions loose wool hairs; I've noticed a few, but sometimes natural fibers shed a bit. I can't imagine using this lovely blanket on the ground. Why would you do that? Just because the title has the word picnic in it doesn't mean you are forced to use it for picnics! If you want an affordable wool blanket, made from random colors, leftovers from the previous run or season, you don't mind not using the product as a no-shed picnic blanket, and you know how to use wool washing products to help soften the fibers, you should be quite happy with this product. If you want a "sturdy army surplus tight weave wool blend to make it less scratchy throw it on the ground picnic blanket," this is not the correct product for you. Eucalan Wool Wash is available on Amazon and elsewhere; the tag on this product seems to indicate that it is washable, and can withstand a short, low-speed spin. I wouldn't put it in the washing machine. I'd handwash it, as an antique quilt would be washed. If (okay, when) it gets dirty enough to need a wash, and if I remember, I'll update this review and let y'all know how it withstands washing.

I absolutely love this as does my daughter. Purchased two and was worried they would be the same and they were not. Perfect for on the couch or a chair. Warm but not to warm. Soft, but not plush, it’s not a plush soft and it shouldn’t be. I had no smells, washed and dried well. Daughter has dye,skin allergies and all things must be washed first. No shrinkage and held up fantastic. Our one cat also loves to snuggle on it.

I bought a total of four. Each one arrived different (color blend/desing) than the other (excellent). Needed something personal for our family to have at each persons theatre chair.These are well constructed and are definitely made with wool (if your sensitive or dislike a little itch.....not for you).Can't wait for fall/winter when these will be even better.

I actually loved the pattern, which is good since you can’t pick! Super warm! My only disappointment is it’s really itchy, but maybe I am allergic to real wool?

This product met all my expectations. It’s attractive, light weight and such a great gift idea. I love that it’s recycled wool, and each is unique.

SCRATCHY! Sitting on this for a picnic is like sitting in a hay bale! It's pretty and appears to be nicely made but itchy and scratchy to sit on if you are wearing shorts or a thinner fabric pant.
