LIP DOESN'T ALIGN, BOLT HOLES OFFSET
I have been assembling dog crates for over 40 years. I know how these suckers work. But I have to really ding this manufacturer. The right rear lip would not align properly. In fact, it looked like it had been chewed up by a machine. Without it lining up properly, it was very difficult to assemble the rear with locking clips and bolts.Additionally, the rear bolt holes did not align. I could not get the bolts through from top or bottom. I had to resort to dragging out my drill and enlarging the holes enough that I could get the bolts through and then screwed down with the wingnuts. In the photos, you can see the condition of the right rear lip and how it doesn't line up properly. You can also see the bolts prior to me enlarging the holes. That is as far as I could get the bolts through in both directions.Clearly there is no quality control at the manufacturer. These kinds of misalignments are unacceptable in a brand new crate. It affects the integrity of the entire crate.

Perfect for needs
Assembly was relatively easy, but took awhile for one person. My puppy, which is now 14 pounds, had no difficulty adjusting to it and the corresponding bed, bought separately. It wheels around easily when needed. He will be about 25 pounds when full grown and I think the size will still accommodate him. He is a very restless sleeper and tends to move around a lot, so I place a heavy king size pillow on the top to lesson the kennel movement, which works fine.I have not used it for travel at this time.

Metal grate on back, unlike the medium size version
Unlike the medium and small sizes of Chesapeake Bay heavy-duty crates, this has metal grates covering the windows on both sides and the back. Unfortunately, the grates provide better protection from chewing on the outside of the crate than on the inside. The corners of the windows are not covered by the metal grate on the inside, so a determined dog may be able to get a start at chewing up the plastic here. Once he gets a large enough hole, I’m concerned that the whole metal grate may come loose. That said, my dogs have not shown an interest in chewing out of a plastic crate, though a friend’s dog did, so I am actually happy with these crates for other reasons – the plastic is thick and sturdy, the sides attach to each other with metal bolts, there are holes for tie-downs (wonderful in an SUV), and there are holes which let the door be locked. But that’s JustMe.

TOP NOTCH, Delta airlines approved crate!
This large crate is not only very good quality for the price, but I can confirm that it is approved for use on Delta to fly a dog across the country using their cargo service because we used it for that very purpose! It comes with everything you need including a separate food and water bowl that attach to the door and multiple live animal stickers. It's very easy to assemble and the instructions are clear. The tricky thing with these crates is finding one that fits your dog. The words small, medium, large and extra large mean so many different things to different companies. Honestly, I would've called the large crate more medium when you consider that it can probably only accommodate a 30-40 pound dog at most. It was perfect for a big Beagle, but I also took some pictures of my 75 pound Labradoodle (who I would consider to be a large dog) laying next to it for perspective and you can see how he wouldn't even come close to fitting inside and he's not nearly as large as a Berner or a Rottie for example, let alone a Dane or Mastiff (which I would consider extra large). Even though I feel like the size names might be a little off in relation to the dogs that fit inside, the crate itself is pretty much perfect for this price point. I can definitely recommend!!

Works great to quarantine kitties too
I actually got this because we're going to move across country in a couple of years, and this would help us move multiple cats (who like each other) in the same crate. And then one of our cats broke his foot getting it caught in something while trying to jump down. All of a sudden we needed something to keep him confined in while his foot heals.Needless to say, he hates it. But i love this thing! He is a 13 lb long haired cat. Currently with a cast on his foot. This is big enough for him to move around in, but not get up a lot of speed. I can put a litter tray inside. A tiny one that is just big enough for him to squat in. It's got a sort of moat around the inside edge so that if he misses the box, he's not laying in it all night. There are clips that hold the top to the bottom. There are also screws included if you're actually going to ship your pet, but for home use, we don't use them. It makes it easy to clean. There are 2 bowls that attach to the door. We've got food in one and water in the other. Even not filling the water close to the top, it still spills if you open the door and an annoyed cat barges out. Well' he's not used to the cast yet, so hobbles out might be a better description. But definitely annoyed.I suspect this is a good size for medium dogs too, but the cats have informed us that we can't get one. So I can't swear to that. But for kitty "bed rest", this is really nice.
