A bargain with premium sound
First off the Sakobs sound bar came well packed in a heavy brown cardboard box without a fancy retail box inside. I like that as it saves on the trash. On unboxing the sound bar seems to be well made and somewhat heavy (compared to the Polk Audio I sent back because of poor sound). Within 20 minutes I had this hooked up and playing and sounding OK. Really it could stand on its own with sound FAR exceeding the TVs onboard speakers. But, bass is anemic compared to a sub-woofer system and the highs are good without sounding tinny. As a reference this bar sounds like a high end bluetooth speaker that gets much louder. I compared it to the Polk Audio Sigma Solo I sent back and it was miles better than that one for a similar price point. The remote while sturdy and well built had VERY limited range and required me to stand about 6' away and point directly at the sound bar. Once I was set up and using my TV remote all was fine. Still it was frustrating. Now for the REAL reason I like this sound bar. IT HAS A SUB-WOOFER OUTPUT! I have two high end sub-woofers that I used on a 5.1 system that took up my whole living room. I hooked one (Acoustic Research S108PSB 100watt 20-150hz) of them to the sound bar and instantly had full spectrum sound from 20hz to about 10k (stratospheric highs aren't quite there). I had to balance it out as this wasn't loud enough to compete with the sub but now I can watch movies or shows like the Voice and get great sound at room filling volume. Very low distortion even at high levels. What I like : Quality Build, Nice looks, Good Sound, SUB-WOOFER OUT, and relative high output. Turning it up to max even had low distortion levels ( I think that volume was internally limited to achieve this). What I didn't like: The anemic range remote. The boot sound when you turn it on (annoying and loud). However, it doesn't make the sound when waking up from sleep mode. The lights while good looking don't tell you anything as all four are always on.Conclusion: At this price point (75.00) it is by far the best deal going. Sounds reasonable but pair it with a high end stand alone sub-woofer to get the best sound.Buy it.

Decent sound for the price. Terrible remote, subpar display panel.
We have a 52" Toshiba that went on the fritz and replaced it with a seldomly used TV from another room. The speakers on it were awful and we found ourselves missing the sound. This sound bar delivers almost the same experience we had, but with a bit more bass and, unfortunately, a bit more likelihood to flatten out at unexpectedly loud volumes. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this if you came across the same deal I did ($60) and aren't expecting the same you would get from a high end stereo. The remote isn't the best, but we have Logitech Harmony and were able to get it setup with it and use its remote. One minor complaint is that the lights on the front don't change to indicate volume, so the only volume indicator would be your ears if you're not using a bluetooth connection. We bought it for the TV, and are using the optical input, but I did at least test the bluetooth and it seemed to work just fine.Update: In May, just 3 months in, one of the speakers blew. Unusable, unless I want to crack it open and replace a speaker. Docking a star. No excuse for blowing speakers when the manufacturer is providing the amplification as well.

Works well for the price
I have a fairly small living room and am not an audiophile looking for big, high quality sound. So I was looking for something under $100 that sounded good enough to improve the crappy sound of my TV. It does that. Everything sounds better, but understand that the sound quality is reflective of the price you pay. I don't need it too loud because I have a fairly small living room and I'm happy for what it does for the price. I will say that I agree with a previous review that the increments when you volume up or down are wide. So it's hard to find that perfect volume level. One touch of the button up or down makes a big difference in volume. Good enough for me for now though.

Great Sound Bar
I personally find TV speakers to be seriously lacking. Because TV's are working to be thinner and lighter they often times sacrifice quality sound as a result, so I personally like using a seperate sound bar when watching TV so that I can experience both a great picture and great sound.I use this soundbar in my bedroom where I have a TV, and it works great for a room that size. The soundbar will provide very good sound, and is really easy to set up as well. A power cord and an AV cord are all that you have to plug in and you can connect your tv to great sound. The soundbar can also be installed easily on the wall for convenience. If you like to listen to music from your phone you can connect it via bluetooth as well, which is a great feature. For the price you get good sound bar that will really improve your TV watching experience with this product.

Sounds great
This is my1st sound bar so i cannot make a comparison to others but to my ears it sounds great, I'm no audiophile but i do appreciate a good sound system, this is second only to my car audio system. So on the sound, one thing that isn't mentioned in the description is the power output, that question was quickly answered by seller, 50 watts, didn't know if that was going to be loud enough but after powering up its more volume than i need, 36' x15' room and i have some hearing loss, base is ok not window rattling but enough for me, it has an outlet for subwoofer if you desire, movie mode will give the most base, Bluetooth paired up no problem with phone and mp3 player, tried the3.5mm cord with mp3 just to make sure it worked, it does but doesn't sound as good as when on Bluetooth, tv hooked up with optical cable. All in all I'm really enjoying this unit now just need to see how long it lasts, will update if needed. PS just went on lightning deal ugh! My luck
