MUCH better than traditional ones for self cuts!
I'm surprised by how well these cut my hair, I have previously been using the Wahl Lithium-ion power ones that are well regarded for their quality but in my opinion for doing your own hair these Philips one trump them massively. Cutting my hair was so much easier with these not only did it glide through my hair effortlessly but I was also able to easily, and quickly, give myself a proper professional looking fade around the back and sides and blending is so easy with the mm increments! Also so much easier to hold, easier to get your entire head evenly and without fuss.Honestly didn't expect these to be better than the Wahl ones (which retail at twice the price of these too!) but for cutting your own hair they are far superior in every aspect, if you regularly cut your own hair you will not regret switching to this style of clipper and you'll love being able to do an easy fade!Fantastic buy, I'm very happy. I just hope they stay sharp and that the battery lasts a long time - one thing I have to credit the Wahl ones is they have lasted a very long time and are still sharp and still hold charge. Fingers crossed the Philips ones can match their life cycle, they seem well enough made so fingers crossed.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
My old Braun clippers died yesterday, halfway through my self-administered haircut (I live alone). Chose these Philips clippers to replace them. The positives I've gained: quick to charge, quiet, mains plug lead (no 2-pin one to fall out when using the cord), no hair jamming the cutters, easy to adjust the length control which is positive to set and lock in. In use I found the ergonomic shape and cutting head of the clippers easy to handle and my hair cutting experience just seemed easier, with good results (important when cutting one's own hair - I've had a few embarrassing slips with my previous clippers where I've accidentally changed the length control is use!).

Can't beat Phillips!
Really nice haircutter, I also bought the beard trimmer as well, the Phillips 3000 series and both of them are ideal for what I need it came with all the fittings and attachments, and also a little case to put it all in as well as a plug in charger. The sizes of the attachments range from 3-15mm right up to 16-28mm so you get two heads that are super easy to plug in. The charger itself lasts ages, I had mine going for at least 30 minutes and it handles thick hair, and really fine hair as well. It's ergonomic and easy to hold and it's got a little spinner in the center of the machine to change the size on the go. Love Phillips products, they are always of a very high quality.

Easy to use. Fast charge. Excellent! Shame attachments are a bit brittle.
Nothing to dislike about this. It has these attachments that adjust over a wide range so you rarely have to change them over! Battery seems to last ages. Comfy to hold. Charged quickly. Worth the money. Don't get one with multiple grade attachments this works much better (I had one like that before!)Update after a few weeks. Gone from 5 to 4 stars - still awesome (I'd still highly recommend - just be more careful than me!). The plastic in the attachments is very brittle and I worry I will snap them sometime. Strange when the trimmers themselves are so well made. Be careful when storing and changing over. Also unfortunately I put the shortest attachment, the beard trimmer, on slightly offset (no idea how!) and it chewed two of the teeth off. I can still do a grade 3 on my beard but that was more like a grade 2 and better for the purpose.

The best I've used!
I have been shaving my head since 1990. My first shaver was cordless and required a stand to charge, annoying when it runs out mid-cut! My second was a philishave rechargeable and was excellent, close cut, long battery life and I loved it.Third time around, I purchased two philishave clippers for when one needs charging, they lasted 15 years, though the batteries in them lasted around 5-7 years. I found these occasionally snagged and weren't strong enough to cut my hair when it got a little longer, even when they were new. When I decided to replace my last ones, I was uncertain which to go for and decided to stick with philishave. I cannot recommend these enough! In my experience, these clippers are superior and well worthy of your purchase, especially if you regularly cut or trim your hair. They literally glide smoothly over your head, never snag when cutting. Again I bought two of these and I've used them both around 10 times each so far without needing a recharge. If I were to make a complaint, it would be the size and design. I wish they were smaller and designed for first person usage, not third person as they are. They are not designed to cut your own hair but someone elses, I've always cut my own. That said, it's not a hindrance in any way, just would be nicer if they could think more about usage.Excellent product, will be buying philishave next time around too if they're this good!

Worth it’s weight in gold
Love this thing, I use it for my head and beard and it does both effortlessly, I have think curly hair and it’s more than powerful enough to deal with it without the turbo button but a good feature nonetheless, not to loud for me but that’s very subjective, battery last for a long time, I’ve now had this a few months and only charged it once, all the attachments are really good quality, functionality and design is 10/10 definitely worth the price tag.

Shaves hair nicely
Best clippers I have ever bought. Shaves hair evenly and no jaggered cuts. Recharging is fast. Size is great and functions well with a turbo boost mode
