BOMBA DE PESIMA CALIDAD
LA BOMBA ES DE PESIMA CALIDAD, DURO SOLO 1 SEMANA Y MEDIA Y PERDIO TODA SU POTENCIA. YA NO FUNCIONA. NO COMPREN ESTE ARTICULO, AUNQUE EL FILTRO ES DE BUENA CALIDAD. LA BOMBA NO LO ES, PIERDE LA POTENCIA DIA TRAS DIA, AUNQUE SEGUI LAS INSTRUCCIONES PASO A PASO, LA BOMBA BAJO SU POTENCIA Y ES INSERVIBLE, PERDĂŤ MI DINERO, Y ES DIFICIL REGRESARLA POR SER DE OTRO PAĂŤS.

Deceptive Powerhouse for the Price
We have had small above ground pools for over 20 years but this is the first sand filter we have owned and used. Why did I not get one before?! This thing is fabulous! Our pool is literally SPARKLING clean - I have have never seen the water looking so good. We have a 18' pool and it handles that size without problem. The pump is fairly quiet - you can hear it running but not annoyingly. Ran great as soon as I set it up. It came with extra tubing and most everything you need. You will need o ring lube and possibly different tubing depending on your setup. The biggest downfall is the directions are not great when it gets to telling you which tubes to hook where. The directions are fine for putting the sand filter together but I found I had to do some searching of other peoples photos to see how to connect hoses thus I am including some photos of hose setup to help you out in case you get on the struggle bus like me (I have a bus pass). The plugs are plastic (as are 99.999% of everything made nowadays...ugh) so you have to use some care when tightening but nothing that would keep me from buying - just keep it under Hulk level and you should be fine. Directions were alittle lacking on when to backwash the filter but with alittle Googling I was able to make sense of the directions (pressure increase above starting pressure - time to backwash). All in all, a very nice, very affordable sand filter.

Works great!
We upgraded our pump and filter system for our 12 X 22 pool to this and it works great! The pool has been clear and clean all season. Very happy with this purchase.

Excellent Sand Filter Pump for Small Pools!
We use this for a 3600 gallon Coleman Power Steel 16x10x48 above ground pool and it is excellent! We have used this with our pool for over a month now and not one complaint thus far from me. It is very quiet and efficient. It's so nice to not have the swimming experience ruined by a loud pump.It was very compatible with our pool and does a wonderful job helping to ensure our pool water is clean and clear. No conversions, everything compatible.Great flow rate (GPH /GPM), easy assemble and install. Instructions are okay, not terrible but not great. Would be nice if they informed you of the "things not included" straight away, but thanks to some other reviews I had a leg up on that.It may be a bit too bare bones for some. There isn't and on/off switch, or pre-filter or digital read out. Not an issue for us.It is an excellent affordable sand filter pump for smaller pools! So quiet!! Does a wonderful job keeping the pool clean!Definitely recommend!

Good pump, a little quirky at the beginning
The filter/pump work great, easy to assemble with instructions provided. The filter itself seems to need to be backwashed about every other day at first though, and the meter never reads the pressure above 0 no matter how forceful the water is coming back out or not. (I'm sure that's my own user error, maybe it's screwed in too tight? I'm gonna mess with it and see if I can get it to read better) I have this on my 18ft above ground pool, and it does an okay job....it's filtering continuously because my pool is surrounded by trees and we use it every day (& I worked in the pool industry for a long time, so I'm used to having them run all the time). I think the issues with maintaining filtration if the giant pool are more a design flaw of the pool itself than the filter/pump (i.e., only having one side skimmer filter point vs multiple down in the pool) especially for a pool this size ....but....this thing runs smoothly, quietly, and is definitely kickin' more butt than the stock one which broke within a month. Levelled up here for sure! Great price point for the quality. I do wish the instructions included more troubleshooting tips ....it doesn't look like there's a power button in this thing, so I'm unplugging it and having to plug it back in to switch between modes (backwash/rinse/filter), and specifics on how to get the gauge to read would be good. The review below mentions a timer, but this does not have a timer. Also, the pump has NO skimmer basket, so there's nothing keeping the debris from going straight into the filter.....God only knows how many cicadas I now have in that thing. Fortunately, my skimmer basket from the pool has a strainer....but that wasn't staying out for a couple of days, so it's possible some got through. Lastly, there could be instructions on hooking up the vacuum to this system. I had to order a skimmer attachment, and it doesn't get nearly enough suction as a direct line to the pump would. But then, there's no skimmer basket in the pump, so I don't really want all of that debris going directly into the filter either. :-/Room for improvement, but overall very pleased.
