Received damaged pan
When I received the pan it arrived with a strange substance on the inside surface as well as some obvious marks/scratches in the finish. There was no damage at all to the box, so the damage did not happen during shipping. There was also nothing inside the box that could have damaged the pan like this. The only explanation is that it left the factory this way. This is EXTREMELY disappointing quality assurance for such a 'premium' product.Of course, they offered me to send it back and get a refund, but international shipping from Japan back to the US is a huge pain and not worth my time. Technically the pan works as the damage is only cosmetic, but again for the price I paid I expect a perfect product not something that feels like I got it on the second-hand market.As for the pan itself, it cooks well. I fried a few steaks and some eggs. The damaged surface had no effect on cooking. The pan is quite heavy but it's what expected. It was also easy to clean. Again, the damaged surface has no impact on sticking/washing up.I am very happy with the pan but disappointed in the apparent total lack of quality assurance at this company. If you don't mind a pan with ugly marks on it, then this is a good product.
