Slightly firmer than I expected but very comfortable. No more waking up with a backache. The pillow top makes it a bit thicker and heavier than a standard mattress.

This is the best mattress I’ve found so far. The price is reasonable, while being a proper supportive and comfortable ortho mattress. The mattress didn’t sink after nearly two years use.

I'm reviewing this mattress after one year of ownership. The mattress is great quality and after 1 year is still firm, with no indentations or dips where we sleep, and no roll towards the centre. The edges are also still firm, with no roll. The king mattress is extremely heavy, which two fit gym goers struggled to get up the stairs and even to turn from time to time. We have it on a base of straight wooden slats (no flex), and the mattress feels more firm than medium-firm. Because of that, it has changed how I sleep, it makes my hips ache if I sleep all night as I used to on my side and I have become more of a front sleeper now. To be fair, in this new sleeping position, I find the mattress very comfortable and get a good night's sleep. The mattress is very quiet, no noise from springs as you or your partner move. We find it far hotter than our old mattress, and no longer require an extra blanket at night in the winter. Price-wise, aim for sub-£500 in the sales (around Christmas). All in all, a very comfortable mattress that is wearing well, but it runs hot and is extremely heavy to lift.

Fantastic comfort mattress, pretty dammed heavy and deep.Expensive but well made and well worth it.The £30 Haul away service for the old mattress (same size) DID not happen.The new mattress was lifted to upstairs bedroom by the guys, they DID NOT unwrap it and take away plastic and they would not take away the old one.....as it had not been ''prepared/wrapped''?There is nothing about this, in the info for haul away service...Even though we could of used the wrapper to cover the old mattress , they wanted to be away as they only have 15 minutes to deliver/remove and they were already behind schedule. This mattress arrived on the day, delivery persons were extremely polite/helpful/smiling through. i looked at several reviews before purchasing this brand/quality and to accommodate my needs. Whilst it is early days so far... i am extremely impressed. the mattress is firm, it feels/looks functions like a high ended market mattress. really impressed. yes it is little bit weighty, but worth it and totally practical i will re review after a year, but extremely satisfied with purchase and all round experience with this thanks

Our old Silentnight mattress was over 20 years old, I'd been saying we needed a new one for years but hubby didn't think that we did. I finally convinced him that we did and it's the best thing we've ever bought. We thought that it was because we are getting older that it was difficult to turn over during the night, but on this new mattress we are turning over so much easier. A lot of the pain that I wake up with in the morning was substantially less than it has been for years. We definitely won't be keeping this mattress for 20 years, I'll get my way next time I say we need a new mattress.We had thought that it came in a box with the air removed and that we would have to wait for it to plump up for 24 hours, but that isn't the case, it comes ready to use, so we didn't have to wait to use it, which was great. It wasn't delivered to our bedroom, just to the front door, so it was a good job that my son was home at the time to help hubby get it upstairs, after removing the old one, of course. The cat was very upset and confused. We left it uncovered until bedtime before we put the clean sheets on it, but I don't know if that was necessary or not.

This is the second of these mattresses over a two year period. The first time they "failed to deliver and was returned to sender due to damage" so I had to pay more than the sale price to re-order. Same thing happened again this year during Black Friday sale. I'm not reordering this time at £100 more. Also have to say that the current one is a little lumpy and with pronounced dip after just 2 years. It's a very heavy mattress and doesn't have side handhold bits to lift it so that's always been a pain when changing the bedding too. I'll try another brand.
