This lamp is cute, affordable, and projects well! When we first got it we were a bit confused because it comes with a cover that needs removed.

These are great. My daughter was sent one as a present, and I bought one fro my niece. They are powered by USB -- this means they can work as gifts for someone in Asia, UK, etc. More products should like this. USB power adapters are such a commodity that they are better than other power adapters you routinely get. When not providing power they don't vampire voltage or get warm. They are more efficient than other power supplies when providing voltage as well. I assume this is because they are more common than any other power supply and so much focus has been put on making them cheaper and better.The light show this puts out is trivial. Just a rotating disk/hemisphere with stars on it, so the stars show up on the ceiling. But it WORKS. They rotate and it's friendly and pleasant and a has a count-down timer which is easy to set so your child can go to sleep with this on, and then it turns off.Good design decisions. Very easy to use. Right choice for power.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm gonna give this little light 4 stars because it's pretty cool with the stars and moon(s) display right on the walls and ceiling. I tried it in several locations and distances and found it works best when centered as much as possible and within 1-3 feet of [wall/ceiling] surface. It works okay at 4-5 feet away but any distance over 5 feet appears rather blurred. Still, with the many different light modes, it's quite appealing and can be calming too.Overall, for about $20.00, this is a very nice offering for the kids or just yourself [like me] to have for some soothing ambient lighting.I can't help but print what is written on the box too... UPDATE 2: I just had to put this in there because I was shocked that it still worked haha. This thing has still been going strong (plugged in) despite my daughter picking it up and dropping it multiple times on her carpeted floor. The green light tends to go in and out sometimes it it's probably from her dropping it. Well tonight she threw it onto our tile kitchen floor. The star dome cracked and I thought for sure it was done for, well I took it back to her room and the dam thing still works!!! I shocked and was going to just buy a new one but I'm sure we can just tape the star dome and it will be just as good. This things is crazy durable and definitely a great buy. We use this every night in her room and she loves it!UPDATE: So customer service emailed me and I told them my issue. They told me to try using the USB cord because I was jisy using the battery and it has worked perfectly ever since. My daughter loves watching all the colors and it helps her fall asleep that much quicker.I bought this to try and help my daughter go to sleep. I used it 2 maybe 3 times and now it just doesn't work! I push the button for the light and it comes on when I press it but then immediately shuts off. I was really happy with this until this started happening. Will be sending back for a refund.

The colors work again, but only when it’s plugged in which doesn’t allow me to place it in the center of the room.January 2019 Update: We’ve used this for less than a month and some of the lights are already out. My toddler requests the lights by color and of course her favorite color is out. I’m really disappointed because I did my Christmas shopping early and my return window is already closed! I have learned my lesson and will shop early on amazon again.My toddler was amazed. I must admit that I did not read the directions and was close to assuming my light did not work because I did not remove the dome cover. I gave this 4/5 stars for durability because it’s made of thin plastic and doesn’t have much weight to it. I gave this an overall 4/5 stars because the resolution of the stars and moon isn’t the best when it’s projected on the ceiling. The best part of the light is the timer! I can set it for my toddler and leave the room at bedtime.

The timer is great. The colours are bright and it works well. It's very light and sometimes the top lid comes off but in general it is good quality. My son is 3 and loves looking at it before bed.

Great purchase. Each of my five grandchildren got one as a gift and they absolutely loved turning on the lights and dancing to disco music. Can also be used as a night light. The globe has a timer so there are no worries about falling asleep and forgetting to turn It off . Gives a dark room a relaxing feel and a wonderful celestial glow. Lots of fun for young children.

Great combination of colors, rotation, timer is practical, no battery needed when using the connector that comes with it, good price, a bit fragile.

Despite a seemingly weak connection for the plug and perhaps cheap materials, this light does the job and was exactly what we wanted for our children. They love the stars, and moons, and the timer function is nice.
