No frills but perfect for my needs
I'm from the US and will be in the UK for an extended period of time. I need a basic phone here for voice calls and text messages -- no fancy apps. This phone is just what I need -- small, light, functional, cheap, and (so far) reliable. I slapped a Giff-Gaff SIM into it and now I'm good to go.I was impressed that it came in the original packaging, including a plastic protective cover over the screen. It was refurbished but looks brand new.

Good basic phone
Ideal little phone. Takes a Standard sim card not micro has described, 2G sims are obsolete now n my 4g sim works fine although you wont be able to get a 4G connection if using the gprs. Easy to select your own network.

Battery doesn't last very long
I use this for everyday phone calls and texts and find the battery runs out much quicker than any other mobile phone I have had. If used for the net, it would no doubt run out even quicker The phone also locks very quickly which can be annoying if you are texting.

Good basic phone. Her mum would love it
For around a tenner what can you say. Bought it for th in laws as they are basically luddites, (look that one up kids) they seem able to use it and the wife is happy she can now gas to her mum at will.A basic, user friendly unlocked phone that works as a phone should.

Usage is very illogical and cumbersome functionaliy
1. The sceen wall paper selection is very poor it makes it difficult so see what is on the screen,2 The functionality in menus are rather cumbesome.3. The SMS writing is incomprehensable for usage because of whwt looks like preset menudaetails and there is as far as can be senn nowhere to ease it to ad direct input.4 The instruction book (which needs to down loaded fro the internet) is not giving much practical inf particularly for use when writing a SMS5. Least but not last the recetion of signal is poor even only 1-2 bars where the old phone this one is substituting had 3 or 4 bars.In total the phone irrespective of price is not considered value for money.

Good phone
I bought this model from Alcatel store. This one It takes a 32gb memory card. It plays video. etc. The description said upto 16gb. but I think there is a model that is older. I've had them and they look the same. But this one takes the 32gb.

Great little mobile
OK, this mobile phone is a tad cheap and cheerful but for less than £12 (with next day Prime delivery), there's not much to complain about! We just wanted a spare handset just in case one of us lost or misplaced their smart phone. I popped in a GiffGaff SIM and used set-up to select GiffGaff as the service provider. That was it, everything works fine. I tried a few test texts and calls all without issues. Mobile signal was good. It's not the best made device but it does what we need. Battery life is pretty good and I was surprised to find a set of earphones included in the box. So, no complaints from me - I am rather chuffed!

Cheap & Nasty
This is a very poor phone even for a basic model. There is no choice of ringtone, messages are hard to read and the battery life is short even with minimal voice calls. I really expected better for a 2G phone. Best to avoid.
