It worked!
I bought this and took it to Verizon for activation. Although this brings a SIM card already inside, the Verizon rep changed it to ensure there would be no issues. This works perfectly and the battery life is good for my needs. Also it's really easy to use and setup.

Great product, great price, great extras
I usually use hotspot when I travel as a back up option for my internet and in case my t-mobile does not have coverage but verizon does. This one was no brainer since my previous hotspot gave up on me. Has two antennas for even better coverage.

Unusable
Verizon customer support informed me the IMEI # was already registered to a business. The unit was unusable.
