I am really glad that I bought this and relieved that I could buy it in the UK. If you work in construction it would make your life easier. It takes some getting used to the range of functions however if you are a joiner the stair function and traditional cut roof functions are great. You can input metric or imperial although the inputs are more logical when done in imperial and use the American phrases for roofing and framing. It has a good instruction booklet however the you tube channel is the best resource. The quality seems to be very good but came with a tough case too. Well worth the money.

Used the calculator to work out a roof it was a great help worked out in no time to perfection.

My only criticism is with the plumb and cheek calculations for rafters. The plumb cut is given the same as the pitch when of course it should be 90 degrees less the pitch - eg. a 20 degree pitch would give a plumb cut of 70 degrees. The construction master would give the plumb cut as 20 degrees the same as the pitch angle. Also the cheek cuts for the hip and jack rafters are always given as 45 degrees which is correct for the plan view on the horizontal plane but not the actual cut.

Once mastered, an absolute must for builders, Architects, DIY’ers, Planners etc

This device has taken all the head scratching out of roofing

I’ve been for years a traditional Roofer happy to use the tape measure method.Saw this calculator on YouTube and thought that it might speed up my work .The time it takes to understand how to use this calculator I’d have got half my Roof timbers on ,I don’t work imperial only metric so a waste of money as there’s no real quick get me going guide ,Wish I’d never bought it
