Will this lunch box fit a typical meal prep container with it lying flat?

Yes. It has lots of room for a meal prep container and extra stuff on top.

Could the exterior fabric develop mold? I’ve had a fabric exterior lunch box before, and couldn’t get it to dry, so mold developed.

Never had a problem I throw it in the washer once a week

How do you wash the reusable snack bags? I’ve never used before and wanted to know

I got the black one for work and I never washed it before. If I should washed it I would put it in some soap water and let it soak then use a soft brush to scrub it. The let it air dry that’s my opinions.but it’s a nice bag though.

How large is its capacity Suitable for family camping?

It might be for a single meal but not a whole camping trip. Its more like a large lunchbox.
