How close is this to tasting like regular whole cow's milk? I am looking for a shelf-stable milk type product to use in savory/sweet recipes.

Not to worry. I had the same problem, looking for something to replace regular milk, by trying almond, soy, or whatever. Nothing tasted like milk. It says it is dairy free, but what about the d next to the kosher u symbol? that stands for dairy! does anyone have an input about it?
