Seiko Gold Tone & Arched Wall Clock with Pendulum and Dual Chimes, 25 x 12.25 x 5 Inch

I was looking for a new chiming wall clock to replace one that was gifted to my wife by her sister many years ago. This Seiko clock is a massive upgrade to our formal dining room. The clock it replaces was a low dollar cheaply made item with very generic Westminster chime, tinny and electronic sounding. The pendulum stopped swinging over two years ago, but it kept time anyway.I wanted to get her a much finer clock, and this Seiko does not disappoint in any way. Superbly crafted, petty to look at, easy to read, accurate as a Seiko should be, customizable, and easy to set up.It comes packaged nicely in a box with strategic foam padding to cradle it preventing damage. Follow the directions for setup, and it's doing its job of telling the time. I used the experience of owning the previous clock when it came to setting the time on this one. I advanced the clock to a few minutes before 6 with the selector on am. I then advanced the hands with the knob, pausing at each top of hour to allow the chimes to cycle accordingly. Arrived at the correct time setting (3:37pm) and it works flawlessly. The important part is to not turn the time backwards, only forwards through the chime periods. If you must back up the hands a minute or two, that's ok, as long as you do not adjust thru the top or any of the quarter hour points, that way the chiming mechanism is not damaged.The ability to control the volume, chime type, and silence chimes during sleeping hours is a very nice touch. This clock is a bit expensive, but like many things in life, quality is remembered long after cost is forgotten.Love this purchase, glad I spent the time I did comparison shopping.

The media could not be loaded. This product was delivered to my address yesterday and guess what, this is beyond our expectations. The wood is brighter than how it was showing in images. Clock is really heavy which proves that it’s a branded product. This is one of the simple and beautiful wall clock. The sound of chime is very smooth and pleasing. Me and my wife are very satisfied with this and highly recommend to anyone. You will never regret after buying it. Thank you seller and Amazon team.

This is such a well-made, beautiful clock. Setup took 5 minutes. Came fully assembled. This is not meant to be placed on a shelf or table, the bottom is not designed for that. So be prepared to hang it on a wall. Get your drill out, you will need to make 4 small holes to put the 4 screws in with the flat panel and hook that are provided to secure the clock on the wall.

This clock was purchased to replace a clock I purchased 25 years ago. This one was the closest to what I had before- it just costed a little more. It is just as described in the description. A very lovely clock which will look nice in any room.

I'm giving this clock 4 stars instead of 5 because NOWHERE does it say to put the battery in the clock on the quarter hour for the quarter chimes to be accurate. I only figured it out because the chime was exactly 7 minutes off and I remember looking at the stove clock when I put the battery in and it said 11:37, so I decided to test my theory and it worked. Make sure that you set the exact time and that it's put on a quarter hour when you put in thr battery. I put mine in at 1:15 and it chimes hours and quarter hours exactly!This clock is beautiful, well made, sounds wonderful, and minus the chiming being off and trying to figure that out, the instructions are easy to read.The volume is adjustable, there's a silent night setting so it doesnt chime between 1030pm-5:45am. It plays westminster on the hour and quarter hours, and counts the hour too. It also plays whittington if you choose that. Really simple to choose too. Sadly, the clock doesnt tick, but other than that it is beautiful. I'm very happy with this clock!

We have had a clock on our wall for over 30 years that finally died. This clock was the right size and we loved the features. It was a bit pricey but since we’ve received it, it is so worth the price. The Chimes are pleasant and we love the silent overnight feature. We love this clock.

At this price point I really expected the clock to be made of high end materials, like real wood and a glass front. Sadly the front is a cheap plastic, like a thin plexiglass, I went over the description and they never specified what the front material was. I definitely feel deceived by the product description, the materials used were a big let down.

The clock looks gorgeous on my wall and the chimes are lovely. Have had zero trouble since we put it up. Keeps time great!
