Stihl MS 180 fits in this case perfectly
I was a little concerned that this case might not handle a Stihl saw, specifically my MS 180. I am very happy that the scabbard that comes with the case fits my saw perfectly and then slides snugly into the case to hold the saw in place. I really like this case!!

Too big for my chain saw
I think this is made for a more robust chain saw than mine. Mine is an Echo with a 16" bar, and there is a lot of extra room in the case. I would prefer a more streamlined fit, but I think this was listed as universal. I do use it, as it keeps the oil and sawdust contained, which is important when it is in my car.

Excellent-light, sturdy, tight, contains leaks
I was genuinely surprised af how good this chainsaw case was compared to two others I recently bought. It is lightweight but sturdy plastic that doesn't flex. The blade scabbard fits down nice and tight into the "V" for the blade. The hinges are fine, not special but they are functional. The plastic clasps could be sturdier- they could break at some point but seem to be fine. The best part about this case is that it is designed by intelligent engineers who understand that chain saws all leak bar oil. This case has recesses at the bottom with ribs and connecting channels for the oil to collect without allowing it to leak out and without having your saw lying in a puddle of bar oil. Fantastic! I recently bought both a Ryobi case that had a hinged bottom that leaked bar oil all over my garage floor and an expensive Stihl case that the scabbard flops around loosely, weighs a lot, and has a flat floor where the saw sits in a puddle of bar oil. This case is much less than half the price and solves all of those problems.

This Echo case fits a Stihl MS 181-C perfectly!
Most, if not all, box (rectangular) chainsaw cases are not wide enough for the Stihl saws. Stihl saws have an anti-vibration handle that make a big loop out around to the left, thus making them too wide to fit into a lot of the saw cases. The Echo case is a perfect fit for the MS 181-C. It is as though the case was made specifically for that saw! The case is well built, sturdy and has good latches and a nice handle. The color is a good match for the Stihl saws. There is a little room in some of the corners for a few accessories. The scabbard slides into place, and locks with the lid shut, but is very easy to remove. The price is an excellent price!! It's about a quarter to half the price of all the other plastic boxes/cases that I looked at.I am extremely pleased with this saw case and would highly recommend it.

Nice case. Wish it had better clasps.
This fits my Echo CS-400 chainsaw (18") just perfectly. I like that it can also fit the chainsaw tools, manuals, oil, etc all very easily. I do see some other people asking if it will fit other sizes and while it fits my 18" chainsaw just fine, it is definitely not made to handle anything longer.

No frills, but it does work just fine for my Stihl 181CBE.
Fits my Stihl 181CBE just fine. While there are no "molded in" holders for a chainsaw wrench or oil bottle , like my old Craftsman's case, you could easily stash a quart of bar oil, a bottle of two-cycle oil and a couple of tools in there . Appears to be good quality. The Stihl's cheapy bar scabbard slides right into the case's scabbard.

Works Great with My Stihl
Wanted this type of carrier for my Stihl MS250, but the factory ones were "fold open" types of contraptions and were far more expensive. I had good luck with this type of "pop top" carrier and was having a difficult time finding one. This Echo case is absolutely perfect.Plenty of space for my chainsaw with an 18" bar and plenty of room for the adjustment tools, owner's manual, a bottle of 2-stroke oil, as well as a quart of chain bar oil. Perfect for an all-in-one case for those remote work sites w/o having to go back and forth to get stuff. Is it the most rugged? Probably not; lots of plastic, but as long as you don't drop it a lot from heights or crush it, it should do the job for a long time. And for the price, it can't be beat.
