We had never bought a flat screen TV and were excited to finally get one. If all smart/flat screen TVs are like this I'll take our tube TV and Roku back. This TV is terrible. Netflix often doesn't cast and Amazon and Vizio don't work together. You have to use your phone or tablet space for all of your TV apps, then they often don't work. Don't waste your money. Hopefully this is not the future of Smart TV's. Also, the remote control is basic and worthless, as is the Vizio app you have to download. All the movies and TV shows on the app are pay only. The only plus is the screen savers that play while nothing is working!

Fantastic TV! My grandparents are extremely tech savvy and use this for their Xbox 360 and to use Google Cast from a tablet or their phones. We have the TV connected to the home network via Cat 6 so we have not experienced any issues... I would expect the built-in wifi to be a bit weak for Google Cast.

I just ordered this from Target a few hours ago as a gift for a family member; I have E48-C2 from last year and I have been very happy with it so I thought I would buy the same set for them. Unfortunately Vizio went stupid this year and decided to drop nearly all the buttons on your remote and leave you with basically a door stop for a remote, because you are REQUIRED to download Vizios SmartCast and use Chromecast to play or change anything on your TV, so you need a smart phone, tablet or computer just to change the brightness or set a timer on your TV and "stream your movies over to it". What in the Hell? Vizio I was impressed with last year, this year I have hunted to find a decent price on a new 2015, unfortunately I had to settle for a Refurb with a 3 year plan...some people may love it and I am sure its better than Vizios homebrew app setup from last year, but to NOT provide a full remote to your customer for people that can't use the app is pretty jacked up. The person I was buying this for likes things simple, doesn't mind a remote and will spend 80% of their time just using Netflix. They also own a Windows phone which thanks especially to Vizio makes this TV basically worthless in my opinion. I Cancelled my order within hours. Please do not support Vizio in their failure to think about all customers needs by buying this overly complex TV. This review applies to Chromecast with "Vizio Smartcast" models from the E series, new or refurbished.
