Good system, inverter good for price
I liked the inverter and the fact it came with a wifi adapter/ app is really good, i can see what the system is doing remotely on my phone. The panels seem pretty good and the batteries have performed well so far and review online fairly well. I wouldn't recommend a novice installing this type of system in a home without good knowledge/ understanding of electrics and the relevant regulations. You may have to fit additional earth rod, island mode isolator and an earth neutral bond contactor to use this in a home installation safely. You also need to buy additional isolators like you can see in the picture to make it safe / usable . Id recommend a battery isolator as pictured, a solar DC isolator not in picture, a battery fuse and RCD/ MCBs to run any loads you are powering from the inverter. I also had to buy additional tools / parts to modify the battery wiring ect to create what you can see in the picture. System is working ok for this time of year and the angle I've laid the panels, should work well during the summer.

Good value product although not suitable for everyone.
I had looked at getting solar panels on my house, but had been put of by the cost and lack of a recommended installer. Also you don't get as much as you would expect for putting the electric back on the grid.So I opted to buy this package and put it on my garage roof to see how much electric I could produce without disconnecting from the grid. Firstly its worth pointing out that you can't mix the electric produced by the package with the electric from the grid, so be careful to have separate circuits.I have a tiled roof on my garage so the first job was to make some brackets to screw to the trusses and stick out under the tiles. The brackets supplied are very basic and only suitable for a flat surface like a canal boat roof. You could buy these but no supplier lists any price or size as they are specific to your roof tiles fitted. Taking the tiles off and fitting these brackets was very time consuming from a roof ladder and I would recommend strongly using scaffolding. I then put some 3m unistrut between these brackets to fit the solar panels on. Connecting the panels is all plug and sockets, just remember to connect them in pairs to produce 24v. The leads are fairly long so you could mount the box on the side of the house as shown but I put my box in the loft.Connecting up the batteries is the part you need to be very careful with. They provide 16mm Connecting leads about 200mm long which are pretty robust due to the amount of current. So be sure not to accidently short out a battery or connect them wrongly. You also need to have the solar panel box, batteries controller and inverter close together else the cables are too short. Buying extra cable this size is not cheap and would need to be bigger than 16mm if you went much further. I did buy some battery link cable from amazon 16mm by 500mm to connect up the solar box to the controller.Once you've connected up the batteries to the controller you will need to configure the controller for the right batteries and voltage. Lithium 24v in my case. Now the next bit I got wrong at first, the inverter is connected to the batteries direct not to the output of the controller. There is a twin 230v socket on the inverter for you to uses. I wired this to the distribution board in the garage after first disconnecting it from the house grid wiring. So what can 3kw power? Obviously it's a question of the power rating of the device. The inverter has a good display which shows what it us using. The lights came to about 300w, I added a Henry hoover and it went up to 1kw. A dishwasher, tumble dryer or washing machine is about 2kw each so no point trying to run two of them at the same time. But most people won't need them on all the time.So I hope this gives you some idear of what to expect. Be interesting to see how it copes in the winter months.

A good starter system
The kit is very complete only critisisms are that the supplied battery leads are very short, so I needed to order extra cable and crimps to make up longer leads.Additionally it could really do with some fuses and means of isolation in the system especially the battery leads ....just as insurance if a component fails.Otherwise it seems very complete system.I have not finished installtion at time of writing but have done quick tests with 4 of the supplied 6 panels and everything seems fine.I did have a problem with 2 panels. (hence my test with only 4)1 panel was smashed when it arrived (probably the couriers) and the other panel had a cell with an visually obvious fault. However I must say customer service from the seller was fantastic and the problems were resolved quickly and politely, and I highly commend them on this.

Wifi Dongle takes some effort to set up!
I bought this direct from the eco-worthy site and as a off grid setup and customer service I would give this 9/10. As I did not buy from this seller I will not review my experience of how I got the items but mainly how to set up the annoying wifi dongle.1. Download the app from the store using the QR Code as per the instructions2. Afterwards you need to disconnect from your home wifi and make sure auto reconnect is turned OFF3. Connect the wifi dongle cable to the powered on inverter and scan for it in your phone wifi settings4. Add the dongle as a wifi hotspot with the default password mentioned in the instructions5. Open the app and click wifi config, at this point you should be connected as the wifi dongle and not auto connected to your home wifi (turned off in step 2)6. Click Network settings and look for your home wifi name7. Select it and enter your home wifi password, at this point you are granting the dongle access to use the home wifi8. The dongle will now restart, this is where the auto reconnect messed me up the most so if you have it off, it will not reconnect back to your home wifi when setting up the dongle.9. After a 36s countdown the dongle will restart and when you click Diagnose it should show Inverter > Data Logger > Router > Service all green.10. Now you can turn the auto reconnect on your home wifi back on11. The most important step at this point is you need to TURN THE INVERTER OFF AND ON AGAIN, this will properly connect the dongle to the inverter.12. Now you can go back to the app home page and log in/register account13. Click on the datalogger tab and click the + icon and scan the QR Code of your dongle, it should now show as online in your app!Took me 3 days of messing around with it to work out, but once it is set up the app is ok, it only gives you a snapshot every 5 minutes but its better than nothing!
