BEWARE - nice product BUT...
This seems like a nice solid product, but you must be very cautious to measure clearance before purchasing this, or you may simply waste $100. When installed in your seat tube, this dropper post is 4 fully inches tall from the top of the seat tube to the top of the saddle rail clamp - so that your saddle will be at least 6 to 7 inches above the top of the seat tube when the post is fully collapsed. In other words, at the lowest position, it will be like having a normal seat post extended about 4 inches. You cannot utilize the 100 mm of dropper travel unless the top of your seat at the highest position is a whopping 9 or 10 inches above the top of the seat tube. Look carefully at my photo with the dropper pushed all the way down and compare it with the seat stem clearance on your bike. It's my own fault, but I was sadly disappointed to realize that I can only ride with the seat dropped all the way - this thing does not do me any good at all.

Great, affordable dropper. Easy installation. Good ergonomics.
I have a remote dropper on my full suspension bike, and got this for my 2017 Trek Marlin Size small. This was so easy to install. You just put it in like any normal seat post. The 1 bolt seat clamp works to hold the seat tight and the angle of the seat does not shift around. The lever is unobtrusive and perfectly positioned for a quick grab.My bike was $400 used, so I could not justify a $200+ remote dropper post setup, but this one was only $100, and works well. There is minimal rotational play in the seat, even less than my PNW Cascade. The seat minimum height is definitely reduced vs a standard fixed post, as the top seat clamp takes up about 4 inches above the seatpost collar.I am 5'6", and with the seat post fully inserted, the 100mm travel sets it to my perfect fully extended climbing position. If you are shorter, it might not work well for you. If you are taller, the seatpost can be clamped lower down to extend the seat higher. When all the way compressed, my feet rest flat on the ground. When practicing manuals, the seat is higher than with a fixed post, but is still out of the way enough.

Great dropper at a great price.
Exactly what I needed. Was tired of being THAT guy, when riding with buddies that have droppers. Constantly pulling over on the trails to adjust seat height for climbs, drops, etc.I just wanted something simple for my old Specialized, 100mm was the limit as my frame design is bizarre. This does the job, you have to be comfortable taking a hand off. But it does a great job, seat goes up and down easy, and keeps the seat straight too!

27.2 dropper post
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Functions as its supposed to meets product expectations for the price. Few cons are the large lever and the top piece where the seat bolts on, its unnecessarily large and adds to the overall length of the post.

Perfect for Gravel Bike
I wanted a simple seat- lever operated dropped post for my gravel bike. I didn't need a large drop like for off-road endro, I wanted something reasonably light, but most of all I didnt want a post that wiggled and rattled. Many of the cheaper dropper posts have noticeable side to side play.Pleased to report this TransX ticks all the boxes. Works great, well built, lowers and lifts well enough for my 220lb frame. 4" travel is all I need but some serious MTB riders would find fault with this.Very well made, tight as a drum, perfect for a gravel bike set up.

Great for the price
Great dropper post for the money. Works fine, and it is a necessity if you have a mountain bike crazy 4 years old who wants to ride with you all the time, since you have to be able to put your foot down fast, but going uphill you will need to extend your feet for easier pedaling. I recommend it.

good option if you lack internal cable options
I have an older Salsa Beargrease with 27.2 seat post. Didn't really want to deal with external cables and appreciated easy clean installation. I was concerned about potential issues of having to take one hand of bars to adjust the seat but at fat bike speeds the under seat dropper control has not been a big issue. It is more difficult to use when using handlebar poggies. The action has been very positive so far. So far very pleased.

Amazing out of the box!
This is amazing!! If you have an older style frame without internal routing and you don't want another cable running up your bike and you don't want to spend $200+ for a good dropper with cable. This is what you are looking for. Super smooth up and down. Two year warranty which hopefully won't be needed. Will be buying another for my wife.
