They sure can, I would definitely buy the ink jet labels and not the laser ones for that thought

Could I use these for glass jars? Is the adhesive strong enough?

I believe you could use these labels for glass jars. The adhesive seems as strong as on paper labels. These clear labels are similar to Scotch Tape and I think would stick to glass as well as Scotch Tape does.

Do the templates work with Mac computers?

Yes! I have only ever used them on a Mac.
