Works well for fine hair
Works well for my fine, thin hair. Doesn’t weigh it down.

Great product
Works great on fine, thin hair. Gives lots of lift. Sadly, I think Garnier is discontinuing this product as I cannot find it in stores and the price is pretty high on Amazon. To me, however, it is worth it. Hope they continue to carry it.

Best product on the market
I love this product. Wish I could find it more in stores. This product gives my hair the boost that I need to hold it up. It makes my hair look like I have more. It gives it such a good lift and holds.

[Thick/straight/long hair] -Instructions may be misleading....
....but a little tweaking and this stuff is fantastic! The reviews on this all seem to be either love or hate. If I tried to use it as instructed I'd hate it. But I don't use it until my hair is fully dry, and sometimes not even until after I've styled it. I then lift the hair away from my scalp where I feel I need volume, section it and spray right into the exposed scalp between sections. I'll use my fingers to squish it around against my scalp, but I never brush or comb through. I then use a claw clip to hold the hair in that area up away from my scalp until it dries. Once dry I have crazy lift and volume up there, even though my hair is heavy and naturally falls flat against my head (it's thick, but stick-straight).The only problem I have with the product is that it is slow to dry. If I let it air-dry, it takes a half hour or more. But it works the same way if I blow-dry it with the claw clips in place. The only time I used it on wet hair and then went through my normal blow-dry routine I HATED it. It spread too far down the length of my hair during blow-drying, then just gave me sticky hair. I salvaged it by using the flat iron to pull each section up and away from the scalp, but it took way too long and wasn't anything special as far as hair styles go, after all that time and effort. The way I've found to use it gives me almost a 1920s Flapper-type wave up there. I usually just use my fingers after I take it out of the claw clips, to place it and maybe smooth a little - it gets crazy crimps sometimes from being in the clips wrong. Sometimes I use a pick. If I need a more structured style I'll backcomb it a little, and this stuff has fantastic properties for backcomb hold. All in all, I love this stuff. I wish it came in a paste that dried faster. (If anyone knows of a product like that, please let me know!) But until I find that I'll keep using this.

NOTHING IS BETTER THAN THIS!!!
This is FAR AND ABOVE the best hair product I have ever found. I have very fine limp hair and using this root amp makes my hair at least 4 times thicker looking and it doesn't feel sticky or gooey or hard. I have tried all the other expensive brands before finding this product. And now I can't find this product anywhere! I don't ever want to be caught without this but I am being forced now to try other products again. This week I have tried the red bottle of Sexy Hair Big Root pump. It was terrible, it did nothing at all. I have also tried Kenra root lifting spray. It's no better than using just plain hairspray when your hair is wet. I have also tried the little bottle of sexy hair powder play. It makes my hair goey and it is dirty looking by the end of day. If anyone knows of a product that compares to Fructis Root Amp, please leave a message here. I am desperate.

Superb volume enhancer
This product is perfect for my very straight, volumeless hair. A small amount sprayed on and combed through works beautifully. I blow dry with smallish rollers.Problem? Why the high price? I paid about $20 (I think) when I bought the first time. Look at the price now! Had it not dropped very briefly to $30 plus, I would not have purchased.

Great for lift!
Love this! And it's hard to find, sometimes. I've read a few reviews that complain about the texture of your hair after using this product and I am wondering if perhaps the users do not understand the purpose of the product. This mouse is not meant for all-over use. It's meant to be sprayed on just the roots. That's why it's a spray - so you can target your roots. I generally wash my hair at night because it takes forever to dry, so in the morning I spray it a bit with a water bottle. Then I hold my hair up in sections and spray this on my roots. I use another curl defining product on the rest of my hair. Once my hair is dry, or nearly dry, I hold my hair up at the roots where the mousse is and use a hair dryer to activate the root-lift to give my hair lift and volume. I have only found one other spray mousse available in another brand so I hope this one continues to be available for a long time. It's a great product - but remember - only for your roots! It's too strong, otherwise!
