The drone looked just fine, but the place to put batteries in the remote control is missing one of the springs needed to hold the battery in, so it cannot be used. This is inside of the battery terminal, which you have to use a screw to get into, so it has to have been shipped this way.

My grandson will turn 9 this fall - I don't see any way he is not going to love this! Since this is a gift, I haven't tried it out yet, but once he uses it, I will update if it did not live up to my imagination's hype!

This is a drone made of soft EPP material, shaped like a fighter jet. It may take a while to get used to operating it, but it is safe to hit things.The product webpage says V17, but on the box, it says NO.4X-V18. Then there is a label says AGWIM V17. It is confusing. Is there a QA dept.?The package includes two batteries, allowing for longer flight times. The drone does make a typical high-pitched sound, which some may find noisy, but it's common for drones.The instruction manual is written in both English and Chinese. The small fonts and oversized images make it so difficult to read. It'd be beneficial for the product management to consider hiring a UI/UX engineer to improve its usability.When taking off, the drone immediately goes in the right direction. We are attempting to calibrate it, but due to the poorly written instructions, we have not been successful yet. Based on YT. Videos by other users, I believe it will fly fine once the calibration is corrected, but it's taking forever to fix.The packaging is retail-ready and suitable for gifting. However, no contact information is provided, such as a phone number or email.There are many product you can choose at similar cost. If you haven't had an experience to fly one of these, I'd suggest to check other choices before you make the final decision.

I have been testing this AGWIM V17 Jet Fighter Stunt RC Plane for quite some time in order to have ample opportunity to understand all of its control functions as well as to fully subject it to rigorous use.Sadly, it has not lived up to its hype.Firstly, the controller and control configuration are extremely unintuitive and very clunky with regard to functionality. Overall, I was very disappointed with the controls. Functions that should be easy and straight-forward seem to have been made unnecessarily complex in the extreme.Secondly, the supplied battery packs are flimsy and weak. One of the packs fell apart in a matter of days. The construction is basically a rechargeable battery pack housed inside a thin, cheaply-made, plastic outer housing. Even when reassembled, this battery pack no longer functions and is completely useless, leaving only one functioning battery remaining. Additionally, the battery packs hold very little charge, which limits the lifespan of the toy's flying time to about 10 minutes before it begins to lose hovering capability and sinks slowly to the ground.Thirdly, the stunts, flight-stability and other functionality of the plane itself are hit or miss at best. Oftentimes these functions were intermittent, or would not work at all. Eliminating the "drift" of the plane when in flight is all but impossible, and it has to be calibrated each and every time it is powered up. Most importantly (and most disappointingly), ANY time that the plane crashes, or even drops to the ground by way of the "auto-land" safety feature, both the plane AND the controller have to be completely powered down and powered up again before the unit will once again respond to remote commands.I wanted so much for this product to be awesome, but the simple fact is that it is not even close to barely adequate. In the end, I decided to award it only one star, because it is a great idea that has been completely overshadowed by its very poor design and haphazardly intermittent functionality.Overall, this is what I consider to be a complete failure of a product.Absolutely NOT recommended!.

This plane is fun to fly but has a pretty long learning curve to master it. It flies well and comes with two rechargeable batteries. The batteries last about 10 minutes on a full charge. After 10 minutes the power starts to drop off and it gets harder to keep it in the air. The plane is very durable. I've flown it into walls and lamps with no damage. It has an interesting feature that when it senses an impact it immediately shuts itself down to prevent further damage. It hovers automatically with no input necessary which makes it easy to fly. My main complaint is that the controls seem overly complex. It has 3 different modes and the controller buttons operate differently in each mode. And in mode 1 you can't make turns so you have to switch to mode 2 and then all controls operate differently. I obviously haven't mastered it yet. The instructions explain the modes but are confusing. I still haven't been able to operate in gravity mode. It does do an impressive trick. When you press the joystick down the plane quickly does a complete roll. I'm having fun learning to operate this plane and I recommend it.

Very hard to figure out the controls and it isn't very strong.I have a lot of drone and heli experience but this one is just not user friendly. It would help a lot of the instructions were in English but they aren't so you just have to figure it out on your own. So far I haven't completely figured out the controls as you can switch the buttons to do different things.All and all, go buy something else. This is cheap but so are others that are better.

Not your typical drone. This plane is lightweight and flies so well. It is easy to use the remote and so much fun for my son.I love that it’s small so we can take it anywhere with us.
