3M 96042 Double-Sided Silicone Tape is a polyester (PET) film coated on both sides (AKA double-coated) with a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Used for splicing of silicone coated papers and films and for high temperature applications. This double-sided tape provides high bond strength to most silicones and difficult-to-bond to substrates, including many low surface energy plastics and select varnished leathers. Bonds silicone foams and gaskets for automotive and industrial applications. Wound on a specially treated polyester film liner which allows for easy unwind.
