Great lock with lots of features and excellent app
This lock is great. It has lots of features and everything works well.Installation was simple. A template for hole is provided for hole cutouts if you are installing it on a new door.I bought it for my bedroom door, and the main requirement was that it have a good fingerprint reader, so that I could get in quickly without needing a key or to punch in a code. The reader works very well and very fast, I'd say less than half a second to open. One thing I love about it is that the reader is angled at roughly a 45 degree angle, which makes putting a finger on it (I typically use my thumb) more comfortable than most fingerprint locks, which have vertical fingerprint readers. That may seem like a little thing, but it just feels like a more natural and ergonomic position. You can set up numerical codes (I think between 4 and 10 digits), and they can be permanent, one time use, or time-based. So, for example, you can set up a code that works from 4pm on Friday until noon on Sunday, so it's perfect for an AirBnB, houseguest, maid, etc. The code entry also worked flawlessly.Three keycards are included. You just put the keycard up against the keypad and the lock opens instantly. Honestly, I don't really foresee using them - as great as they work, I'll just use the fingerprint reader and avoid having to take anything out of my pocket. The backup keys provided in case of power failure (i.e., dead batteries) work fine. One minor nitpick is that the keyhole is hidden behind the face of the front handle, accessed by pushing on one end of the handle. It works fine, but my question is, will I remember 5 years from now (or whenever) how to access the keyhole? The TTLock app is really good too. That was a bit surprising to me, since a lot of apps for these kinds of things seem like afterthoughts. This one is intuitive and easy to use.If you have the gateway for the lock (purchased separately), it connects to the internet though your WiFi, and then you can even open the lock remotely. That's a feature I'm not planning to purchase, but I can see how it could come in handy for some people. There are a couple of features that I had not read about that I like. One is that the time that the door stays unlocked after being opened is very customizable (default is 5 seconds) through the app. Another is that you can set a daily period of time during which the door will stay unlocked, and then lock automatically. So, for example, you could leave it unlocked at night so that if the kids get scared, they can come in without them having to knock and you having to go open the door. The 4 AA batteries are easily installed. You need to remove one screw to access the batteries.A couple of minor niggles: I got the lock in aged bronze, which looks great, but the latch bolt and strike plate are both silver - would be nice if they were also aged bronze to match. Also, one thing I could do without is the voice saying "unlocked" when the door is unlocked and "locked" when it automatically locks again. You can control the volume of the voice by a setting in the app, but can't turn it off entirely. I think it's unnecessary, as there is a light that briefly turns green when the lock unlocks, and you can hear the it unlock and lock, so to me the voice confirmation isn't needed. But overall, this is as perfect an electronic lock as I've found. I can't vouch for its durability, since I've only recently installed it, but I'm very happy with this purchase, and I'm thinking about buying one for my garage.

Game-Changer for Home Security!
I couldn't be happier with my VV Smart Lock! Installation was straightforward, and the design is sleek and modern, fits perfectly with my door. The app integration is smooth, and I love being able to lock and unlock from anywhere. The fingerprint recognition is fast and accurate, and temporary codes for guests are a huge bonus. Battery life is impressive too. This smart lock gives me peace of mind and convenience all in one. Highly recommend to anyone upgrading their home security!

Fancy but unreliable. Old fashioned keys don't fail.
Expect to get locked out at the worst possible time. The unit did just that, it's mechanically well made but the electronics have issues, at a casual locking, carring with me no key, nor my cellphone, the lock stopped responding to my fingerprint and to the passcode too. I didn't get a new fingerprint, it's been the same forever. Bateries were alcaline and new.Connecting to a power bank via USB cable made no difference. After about an hour trying get the thing to let me into my place, I had to resort to a hammer and chisel, the lock is well built, but finally I was able to break it open, not without damaging my door in the process.I recommend leaving a spare key hidden somewhere outside just in case you forgot your keychain when you exited. (I guess not under the door mat).I got used to unlocking using my fingerprint or password, but that's exactly what failed on it.The privacy switch in the inside plate was set to general, not privacy, which prevents opening the door, I had tried it in the past and was aware of that feature.

Overall, excellent so far (revised original post)
After my 24 hours of use, I am updating this post from 1 to 4 stars. It looks beautiful, n took 20 minutes to intall. VERY easy, perfect fit in standard US door. I even lost a screw & they give a spare bag so that's a nice touch!Spent an HOUR trying to get APP to work.. uggg.. "bad location" & "error failed", so be patient there.I learned the unit must be awake to communicate with door, except for APP lock & unlock.Subscription required to do things like add large numbers, remote use, etc at $65 for 2 years.Fingerprint is supper fast RFID a second or two, no bigs. APP gives you battery status, which is nice, but remote notifications requires a subscription. The ONY thing that's missing is an unlock mode where you can leave it unlocked for easy pass through without unlocking. Unloading groceries for example or in and out for a day... you can set a time, but no manual way to leave it open.. only via the APP. You CAN change pin codes after you add one they generate, use it once, then can change in the APP. The APP communication with the lock is sluggish but there's not much to do after it's setup, so not going to stress on that.

Great lock with multiple options for entry
Build quality is great. Number of entry methods (Key, card, code, biometric) is awesome. Works as well as any biometric system. Best to scan multiple fingers for best results in cold areas where you'll get dry skin etc...It took a minute to figure out where the card reader is! Logic would say it's in top but it's in the number pad. But here's the one kicker... This would be 5 start except this lock is missing one essential feature... Unlock! Seriously! There's no physical switch to simply unlock the door and leave it unlocked!!! Tough have to go into the app and schedule an unlock time... !!! So if you're bringing in groceries or working on a lawn project you have to either dive into the App settings to schedule your work time or use unlock each time you need into the house... That's rediculious!
