Mezze: Small plates to share

This is a little gem of a book, I have visited Turkey many times and tried in vain to re-create the amazing mezze dishes you find - the recipes in this book taste totally authentic and take me right back to my favourite place in turkey whenever I make one of the dishes....the recipes are easy to follow, the ingredients can take a bit of hunting out but are available in the Uk - give it a try you will not be disappointed.

A beautiful book with glorious pictures, and a delight to peruse. Some of the recipes are not for the faint of heart! Several of the ingredients are difficult for me to obtain because I live in an isolated area, but it has merely made me more ingenious in foraging which, I suppose, takes us back to the origin of the recipes anyway. Totally recommend it for personal use or as a gift.

Good in parts. Not quite what I had hoped for.

Looks well written and has easy to follow recipes. I love Turkish / middle eastern food and this will serve as inspiration for appetisers and finger foods at parties. What I like is that the book gives recipes for making the base ingredients as well.

I absolutely adore this book. Beautifully presented. If you love good food, with the added benefit of it being very health giving in it's Mediterranean roots, it's for you. Small plates, lots of different things to share, very sociable . I bought about 6 or 7 books all at once, and this one is the best.

Delivered before expected and very readable; If you like Middle Eastern and North African Cookery,this is a very useful book. The instructions are easy to follow and the ones I have tried so far wereall terrific.

I take this book on holiday great recipes and easy to follow, reminds me of Turkey all the time!

Devo ammettere che ho commesso un errore quando ho acquistato due copie di “Mezze: Small Plates to Share.” Inizialmente, ero convinto che fossero due libri diversi, ma ho scoperto che avevano la stessa identica contenuto, solo con copertine differenti.La mia confusione è iniziata quando ho visto la prima copertina, con una varietà di piatti deliziosi e ingredienti freschi. Ho pensato che fosse un libro perfetto per le mie serate di cucina e per condividere piccoli piatti con gli amici. Tuttavia, quando ho aperto la seconda copia, ho notato che era esattamente lo stesso libro, ma con una copertina diversa.Nonostante l’errore, ho deciso di tenere entrambe le copie. Dopotutto, “Mezze” è un libro fantastico! Le ricette sono deliziose e perfette per condividere momenti speciali con le persone care. Dalle zuppe alle insalate, dai falafel ai dolci, questo libro offre una vasta gamma di piatti da provare.La mia raccomandazione? Se vi piace la cucina mediorientale e volete esplorare il mondo dei mezze, “Mezze: Small Plates to Share” è un must. Spero solo di non confondermi ancora con le copertine la prossima volta che acquisto libri!

I had one other book by Ghillie Basan and was very happy with her exquisite approach to Middle Eastern cooking. I bought Mezze and I am totally blown away. I could give her more stars if there were more available. Highly recommended.
