While basmati is the worlds best loved rice, not all basmati brands are created equal. Mixing regular rice with basmati to economize on cost is a usual practice and the percentage of non-basmati rice may vary from brand to brand. Zebra Basmati provides the assurance of 100% purity as it is certified true Basmati Rice.

great rice, but be careful when opening the bag
This is great rice, with wonderful flavor and it's a bonus that it's also low on the glycemic index. But when I opened my bag, the inner plastic bag was not sealed properly and was packed in upside down, so when I lifted the bag out at least two pounds spilled out onto the kitchen floor. Not great, especially at this price. Unfortunately it's too late for me to do much about it.

Love it. Will buy again!
I actuallybreally enjoy the flavor and long grain. It is different and has a wonderful texture. Only light seasoning is needed because its natural flavor adds its own balance to the meal.

Flavorful long grain
Great value for the price. Flavorful if prepared with butter. Long beautiful grain makes it more presentable. I've been a great fan for many years.

The rice is ruined
The rice is ruined. There is bad ordors. If you soaked the rice overnight, the ordor will be diminished but the rice itself is already ruined so that it will affect digestive tract especially for people with compromised gut. Do jot buy this brand ever. There is a reason for its price is a little cheaper compared to others.

A+ Excellent for Assyrian Yellow/Saffron Rice
This rice has turned out great. I cook it 2.25 water to 1 cup of rice. Heat up the water to a boil. Add a 1/4 tsp of saffron & salt before it boils, add a tablespoon of butter, and then reduce the heat once it boils. Wait about fifteen minutes then fluff the rice and turn off the heat source. You will have great Assyrian style yellow rice.
