Andis 26704 Replacement Blade For Styliner II And M3 Trimmers

I have found that protecting the head is good practice. This is a fine, fine trimmer and I use it once a week for head and body grooming. If any of the teeth are chipped then the likelihood of the trimmer cutting or abrading the skin is high. Just a very small chip can in any of the teeth can make the difference between a quick effective trimming and cutting or abrading the skin. Given my own experience I now enclose the trimmer head in a soft cloth with an elastic band. Now I use the trimmer in a gym, I guess if I only used it at home I may not have to take such precautions. Also, until I realized that I could just purchase the trimmer head, I replaced my last trimmer after damaging the head paying the full price of the trimmer - well, what can I say. I won't do that again. Enjoy this trimmer, it will serve you well, and, oh yes, purchase the Andis trimmer oil and oil up the head after every few uses. Rob

The blade is good, so I wont take away stars for something that's not the blades fault. The trimmers however have given me nothing but problems. So these blades ended up breaking a couple days after I got them because the trimmers make this horrid noise that scares me so I dropped them. This is the third blade I've replaced on these in less than 3 months, so unfortunately I wont be buying the blades anymore because these trimmers SUCK. but the blade had nothing to do with it. The blade itself is good quality. I usually love andis, but this is not their best trimmer.

I actually purchased this product for my styliner I. I had to do a bit of modifying to get it to fit my trimmer, but it worked. This is a great product, very sharp. Make sure the blade is properly attached and well oiled before use. Test it out on the back of your hand before you start trimming to make sure it is working properly and will not cut you.

I cringe when I realize I need a new blade as they often arrive in various conditions of adjustment. However, this was one of those time in which the blade was perfectly adjusted. It was sharp, without biting. In addition to the blade adjustment quality I was pleased with the reasonable pricing as well.

Good blade!! As i find it difficult when buying from a beauty supply store they always seem to be a crap shoot...they are usually really good and sharp and cut good and create sharp edges on a shape up or they are very bad and tug and pull and don't cut so good. This is my second pair from amazon and they have both been very good sharp blades. I always take mine apart and make them so they cut closer to the skin for shaving your face, you can find some good videos on youtube for doing this. These blades last me about 2 years before getting a new one and the reason is usually because i drop them and a corner breaks off, they have never gotten dull on me as long as i kept them oiled.

Waited a bit to do this review; I use this trimmer on my face a head, and still a true, clean cut. I always end the cut with HEAVY Andis lube spray cleaning, and noticed I have to give a light spray the next use for it give a nice cut. I'm about my tenth use in and noticed a dark hazing on the steel around the screws area, but it does not affect the usage.
