Hunter Fan Company 52087 Hunter Hatherton Indoor Low Profile Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Pull Chain Control, 46-inch, White

This fan works good. It is quiet. The motor amperage is the same as the bigger fans so it should be as reliable. Everything comes in plastic bags which have symbols printed on them to tell you when to use the parts in the assembly. There was even some extras included for some of the washers, screws, etc. I have heard some reviews questioning what to do with the wires, the answer is tuck them back into that box above the motor, do it gently but get them out of the way. I didn't really like the pendant light bulbs, they have the really small screw in light socket that I imagine will be hard to find. Assembly was the usual, you drop the motor mount into the box, it just rides there with the screws holding it in, that improves the balance, lowers vibration. You tighten all the screws, yes I wise they were machine head screws so I could use something other than a screwdriver. Assemble standing on a ladder, take breaks, my hand at one point seemed to have wound one way too many times so it froze and went counter clockwise once on its own. Different but you tense your muscles and forget to unwind them. If you aren't a handyman read the directions and do what it says, no need to do the thumbs up like the picture says when it shows you the correct way each step should look. I also used a nice Westinghouse heavy fan mount with box that simple screws tight by twisting, It came with everything and worked beautifully. for just under $16.00 at Home Depot.

I just installed the 52087 Hatherton.Hardware and instructions:* Everything was in perfect order and the instructions have checkpoints for each stage. Even the little bags of parts were marked with specific symbols that match the instructions.* The hanging bracket has a slot for the universal remote receiver.* I found a tiny handwritten mark (probably from QC) on each blade. My blades are white/white so I just attached them to their brackets with the little mark all facing toward the ceiling. Perfect. I have no wobble on high speed!* The light kit is nicely shaped and feels substantial. The lamp shades came with rubber bands around the neck.Appearance and function:* I like the look. There's nothing cheesy about this unit or it's light kit. It reminds of very simple but elegant French style design. Of course this is completely subjective and my opinion only. I like the way the light reflects off the blades. No sharp edges. It looks to be pretty easy to clean.* My installation had a total depth of just about 14 1/4" from the ceiling to the bottom edge of the lamp shades.* I love 5 blade fans. They look great and except for the cheapest of fans, there's a much better chance of first-time balance. I have some 4-blade fans in the kitchen and they required balancing. Balancing is really a tedious task and should be avoided.* High speed on the 46" unit feels just a bit short of my 5-blade 52" fan in the bedroom, which is fine as I am using this unit directly above my chair in my home office. I have it on hight as I write this review.Accessories:* I used a universal type remote that has the LCD display digital read outs for temperature and light. I bought a Westinghouse locally but the universal unit (they appear the same) available on Amazon is under $40. I have the same units from many years ago still functioning in two bedrooms. They rarely (maybe every 5-10 years) need the batteries changed. All of my remotes look the same with a blue button for the fan and a yellow one for the light.* In addition to needing a fan my goal was to replace a 150w halogen light that never seemed to light up my tiny desk area. My biggest concern was the candleabra bulbs (E12) that seems to be the standard these days. I highly recommend the "CRLight LED Candelabra Bulb 6W 2700K Warm White 700LM, 60W Equivalent E12 Base Dimmable LED Candle Bulbs" available here on Amazon. When I turn the lights on max (but dimmable), I can see everything around me and it's much easier when working with all my wires and finding things I drop now. 700 lumens per bulb is hard to match in an E12 and even harder to find listed in the product descriptions.That's it. I did the installation myself and very happy with my choices. Cheers.

The fan runs well. There is a big difference between third speed and second speed. When it is on high-speed the fan moves a lot of air and is quiet. Cons: fan comes with decorative lights with Mini threads. I ended up not using them, and instead went out and bought LED lights to replace them. I believe that they are brighter, and use a lot less electricity. I only gave this review four stars because the screws to mount the fan to the box were missing, and I had to spend a few minutes looking through a jar of screws to find What I needed.

Awesome little fan! Easy to install. Runs quiet and moves the air around the room.We bought this to replace a fan in a relatively small room with a puny fan - probably 38" - that just wasn't doing the job.Very pleased with this Hunter fan and have ordered a second one to go in the spare bedroom.Note, I have bought and installed probably 20+ hunter fans over the years at the various houses we've lived in - always easy to install and worked great!

Installed very easily. Works great. Looks good. Very quiet. I'm very happy with it. The only knock I have on it is that I installed it with a Luton wall switch and I had to guess on which of the wires on the fan unit was for the light and which was for the fan as they are not identified on the unit or in the instructions manual. But I guessed right the first time, so no big deal.

I had to replace an old fan. This was similar in size and appearance. The instructions for replacement were CRYSTAL CLEAR. Imagine that! No missing parts. Sturdy fan. Quiet. REALLY quiet. No wobble at all--NONE. Surface of the blades and fan are very smooth and so will be easy to keep clean. I LOVE this fan.

Perfect for medium sized room but comes with many parts and installation is a challenge.

installed 2 of these. very nice quality. inlike how both sides of the blades are white. we changed the bulbs to smart bulbs, but the original ones weren’t a bad color. i like the quality detail from the decals on the pull strings to the blade holders. two issues, but not major, we couldnt figure out which way the blade should face , so we did the same and made the markings face up on the blades , 2nd issue i didnt receive any screws to hold the motor into the base, but i made it work with some other screws i found around the house. it took me about 45min each fan, to put up fyi..

This ceiling fan was easy to install. The instructions were very clear and the weight was manageable. I am a small woman and was able to install this myself.

This fan is super quiet and the perfect size for my 10 x 10 bedroom. I only need to run it on meduim to stay cool and I love the style and the all white fan.Just a beautiful fan.5 stars on all accounts!
