Fun for kids, clumsy adults not so much.
This was a present for my daughter for Christmas. We had it charged and ready to go before Christmas so she could use it straight away. She was able to zip around on it immediately. Granted, she has used a friend's hoverboard so she knew what to expect. My nephew had never used one and was a champ after a few tries. They played with it both inside and outside. The wheels are large and give a sense of ruggedness that was appreciated for outdoor use. It connects to Bluetooth for music and has a surprisingly nice rounded sound. When she wasn't using it we occasionally picked up the neighbor's Christmas music, lol. I am not sure you can pair it to a single device or it just picks up the closest signal, but it is a nice feature. One of the thing we found is that when hooked to the app it tells you the speed it is going and it was clocking the kids at around 12 mph. I am not sure if this was completely accurate but it gave me the fits as I was imagining them spilling off to their ultimate demise. I am a mom so that is my job but they seemed to do fine. I did buy knee and elbow pad and a helmet that was a must. So far the battery has a long life. It says that it can handle off-road travel but so far she hasn't given that a try.Now for my adult experience! I decided to give it a whirl and found out that my body is old and not straight. I seem to have a natural lean to the left and had a very difficult time getting it to go straight. It seemed to keep wanting to drift to the left. It was fabulous of you want to go in circles but not so great for maneuvering elsewhere. I am the donut queen but that is about it. For some reason, the kids are able to hop on and off but I have a terrible time getting off. I took a rather undignified tumble trying to dismount to the amusement of the kids and relatives. Kudos to me for being the only adult to try even if I never went faster than a baby could crawl! At any rate, I can see how it would be a ton of fun for the kids and the more agile adults. I would definitely recommend. One fun fact. If you don't disconnect the Bluetooth it will keep playing whatever audio is coming through your phone. After she had gone to bed I was sitting in the living room and it started making some sort of weird jingly music. To be honest it kind of freaked me out because I wasn't expecting it to make strange music at 11 o'clock at night. I quickly realized that I was hearing music from a game. Busted!! My daughter had snuck her phone in bed and was playing games on it was she was supposed to be asleep! I told her that her hoverboard had tattled on her and to hand over the phone. Nice try kid but the hoverboard had moms back. Score one for mom!We are happy with our purchase and think it was a good investment. We did buy the extended warranty just to be on the safe side because it wasn't cheap.I think you would be happy with this hoverboard.

After 6 weeks of use I'm very happy with this hoverboard.
I also have a Hover-1 and this has a couple features which make this a better hoverboard. One is that it lights up when it is being charged. Yellow light indicates a partial charge. Green light indicates a full charge. The other thing I like better about this over the Hover-1 is that the motor doesn't engage until you stand on it and depress the sensors. The Hover-1 motor engages as soon as you turn it on which means if you are holding the unit and tilt it forward the wheels start turning forward.

Customer Service is Terrible
It worked great for about 6 months and then suddenly quit charging. Have tried contacting customer service about getting it fixed. China based and everything is through email. Takes about a week or more for them to respond each time. So far itβs been 2 months and they are still blowing me off about how to claim the warranty. Will never purchase from this company again.

Stopped working in 8 months
I bought this for my son for Christmas 2019 and initially it was great and he loved it. We have a large backyard and he was able to ride around on the rugged wheels with no problem until it got too cold outside. Fast forward to this summer and the hoverboard is now dead. It has a constant blinking red light and won't balance. The calibration reports that it was successful, but it still does not work. I am talking to customer service, but so far there is no resolution. I spent the $390 for this board expecting a higher quality item that would last.

Bad, very bad.
Short story, very short. Had the hoverboard for about two months. One of the wheels brakes unexpectedly almost every ride since buying it. Now it broke in half today going over a bump on a inner city sidewalk. Highly disappointed, especially for the high price. Disappointed.Got another board sent to me from amazon. Thank you. It just broke in half AGAIN!

JUST LIKE THE PICTURE
My son received this for his birthday after awhile of searching and researching, he absolutist loves it! it does everything like it says, the wheels make it easier to go through the yard, its not 4x4 but it goes through the grass no issues. it can go over little bumps with no issues, I had even gotten on myself and was capable of strolling through our house. it was fun!!! definitely recommend

Defective item
I ordered their V series model, the 3rd version. Not sure if this is a new model but it stopped working after a few days of use. Just shows a flashing LED light when you try stepping on the board. Tried everything in their manual to troubleshoot, it didn't help. Tried a re-balancing command suggested in their instructions, did not help. Warning to anyone considering buying this specific model (V-3 series), not sure it has acceptable product quality checking.

Awesome Hoverboard
This Hoverboard is awesome. My son loves it. His friends have the epikgo, but they were several hundred dollars more. In comparison this board has all the power, goes just as fast, is a little lighter, and just as many features. This comes with beefy tires as opposed to the road slicks which is perfect for "off road" conditions and also works on the street. My son has no problem with this but on Christmas an adult took a pretty nasty spill off of it, so I would recommend grown ups especially wear helmets and wrist protection. π
