The app kills it, it's horrible.
Feels sturdy and good quality. It does not map the room and moves at random, which means it can take take time for a full clean of the room, which isn't that a big issue if you program it to run whilst you are at work. It also only detects large obstacles, like a wall or sofa, but not thin ones like the feet of chairs and tables and so bangs into them all the time...But, and that is a major but that kills this product in my opinion:It absolutely requires you to install the app on your smartphone. Without the app your only way to control it is the on/off button on it.That app is terrible. When I installed it (on Android) it required access to everything on my phone. Why does an app to control a vaccuum cleaner require access to my contacts, my photos, positioning, etc? Then, the app requires you register with your email or mobile phone number. Why?Since then it has been asking me to accept the T&Cs and whether I want the app to send stats to who knows who about once a day.Icing on the cake it is badly translated into English and full of bugs.Basically now my vacuuming is controlled from a data centre somewhere in China that has full access to my phone, and which will brick the vaccuum cleaner the day they close shop.It could have been an OK product but I would advice to avoid it because of that.

Amazing hoover wiped the floor with poor old Henry Hoover
I was lucky enough to win this hoover in a competition on Android Police website. Our hoover at the time was a Henry and we thought he was doing a good job. That was until we let the C10 make it maiden voyage round our front room. After just 20 minutes his belly was full (see picture) then went back to the charger. That was how much charge was in the hoover when we got it, there was still 15% left. The house has 1 cat, 2 under 5 kids and 2 adults by the way. We let the hoover loose in each room and it was getting stuff we couldn't even see, stuff that Henry hoover was just pushing in to the carpet by the looks of it.The carpets looked physically better after, the piles were lifts and it felt nicer to walk on.I used to sneeze a lot and now after a month of owning this hoover I sneeze a lot less, I presume to do with the fact the dust is actually getting hoovered up now and put in the bin rather than pushed in to the carpet. The app has been updated and does not ask for any permissions but you need to give it location permission to get the best out of it.In a morning in our house in this cold weather before the school run and work we all put our coats and shoes on inside the kitchen/dining room. There is always loads of seeds and leaves off the trees outside and dirt/tiny stone left on the lino floor. Now after we all leave the house the hoover is scheduled to do a clean at 9.15am and it comes out and picks all that up. It saves a good 5-10 mins sweeping then getting the dustpan and brush out. Brilliant. After tea time when we are all in the front room doing homework etc it comes out and cleans all the crumbs the kids drop from under the table and any bits from the kitchen while we are all relaxing, again we would usually have to get the brush, dustpan and brush out. Not anymore. If you want it to come out any other time you can send it cleaning with the app no matter where you are as long as you have a data connection on your phone. The quality of the hoover is very good. It has bumped in to plenty of things and is unharmed. The buttons are nice to press and the dust bin inside makes a nice click when you put it in. The brush underneath comes out easily for when you have to cut the hairs that get tangled round it, you get a nice tool with the hoover which makes light work of it.Other neat things....When cleaning on the landing by the stairs it has nice cliff sensors so it will not fall down the stairs. It can climb over 2cm obstacles. It slows down before hitting things. It can follow the skirting boards and edges really well.It always finds its way back to the charger. It talks to you when it starts cleaning, does a spot clean or is going to the charger. You can set do not disturb hours so the volume of those voices are quieter.Set cleaning schedules.Battery life is good. 3 bedroom house, does all of downstairs on a charge and all but 1 room upstairs.Control it from anywhere. You get a log of all the cleans and have a maintenance graph on how much wear is left on each part in the hoover.Share the hoover with family so they can control it.If I want to clean upstairs I just take it off the charger(downstairs) and put it on the landing and press the clean button. When it's finished I get a message on my phone that it's finished or wants to go back to the charger. I bring it back downstairs and press the charge button and it drives to the charger.Slight Niggles....The length of the charge cable is not very long. I had another cable from a camera battery charger that I use and it works fine. You can't wash the filter on this model but I have ordered some more and they are cheap and last ages.No room mapping. Looks really good but it is for the more expensive models. It still finds it way round ok and you can limit where it goes by shutting doors or by placing heavy kids toys in its way lol. This hoover made us realise how poorly our old hoover was performing. We bought a Shark NV801UKT for our main hoover to compliment the roborock C10.The carpets now look and feel like new again.RIP Henry Hoover 2013-2018 :( (Sold him on ebay, so he lives on in a new home :D )Would I buy it for the price it's on here for knowing what I know about it. Hell YES !!!
