Love the speed of this after jumping from an i3
I got this mainly for a bump in speed. I don't use it for gaming but I work form home some and use it to drive a 4k 48.5 inch monitor. I needed something that would not struggle so much to drive the 4k monitor. The i3 and Quadro Pro I had would drive it but the speed was rather pitiful and a lot of things were very sluggish. No more of that. I dropped in another 16GB of memory and a Samsung 1TB SSD and boot is very quick now. I do wish the case had a little more room inside. I had to remove the video card just to install memory it is so tight. And if you install a M.2 SSD you have to remove he Video card to even see the M2 slot for that as it sits under the card. I opted to just use a SATA SSD for now but I may drop an M2 in down the road. But for now I'm very happy with this and I still have 2 more drive slots. The 1070 w/8GB is what makes this deal. I'm not crazy about the way the case sits at an angle but it don't bother me that much either. It's just not what I would have done if I were designing it. I would have put rubber feet on BOTH ends to lift it up a little and keep it planted firmly. As it is the back end slides around easy which can be good if you are moving it around. But as an aesthetic it isn't. But that is a nit picking thing and I don't detract anything for that minor cosmetic flaw. I'm happy with the purchase and would do it again.

Very stable computer. Just a suggestion, add more ram and solid state drive. 11/19/2019 (I have owned this computer for 9 months)

Good for Gaming, So Little Space Inside for Adding Drives
Just wanted to share some experience I had in upgrading this desktop with a new SSD and though it might be helpful for others.First of all, this desktop is compact compared to other gaming desktop with large casings, so you have very small space to work with. The desktop comes with only 2 SATA III cable attached, one for the HDD and one for the optical drive. When adding a new HDD or SSD, you'll need to remove some parts inside in order to get to the SATA III slots and secure the cables you buy. When you do that, do yourself a favor by attaching another 2 or more SATA cables, otherwise you'll have to remove parts overtime you want to attach a new drive. The desktop performance was good when it had the HDD with a boot time about one minute. With new SSDs I bought, the boot time reduced to 9 seconds. I do recommend upgrading the HDD of this to a SSD for the best performance of this desktop.BTW, I cut my finger by trying to secure SATA cables and that shows how tiny the space available for custom work.

Impossible To Work On
I thought this would be a great PC. I bought it because they didn't have any of the model with the SSD in stock - but I was told I could easily add the M2 drive. Working on this thing is a nightmare. The M2 slot is hidden under the video card, which requires removing a metal brace/bracket, then removing. The case is very tight. After installing the M2 drive it is not showing up.HP support says it should work. They are still working on it.The online support is horrible. The documents are very poorly written, and appear to have errors in them. The online 870 224 mobo says it supports M2 Slot A only. Try and find out what that means? But HP online support says M2 2280 will work. What a headache. This is the first PC I've bought and not put together in 10 years. I regret taking the "easy" way out.
