Best All Round 16" EUC
I got my Inmotion V8 a few weeks ago. It's my first EUC, and I'm still learning. I'll give my early impressions now, and will update this review once I've used it a bit more. In short, it is a really nicely designed, well-built, and fun to ride electric unicycle. The V8 is pretty much the state of the art in EUCs as of early 2017. It isn't the fastest, the most maneuverable, most off road capable, longest range, or really best in any single category, but I think it is the best balance of qualities (maybe with the exception of the brand new King Song 16S). It also is thoughtfully and tastefully designed, and has good build quality. The V8 has an 800 watt motor, which is on the higher end for this class of EUC. It is faster than I need it to be, with a top speed of about 19mph. It will take San Francisco hills without complaint, and it doesn't have a problem with potholes and curbs. Even if you don't want to go fast, don't weigh very much, or don't care about hill climbing, getting a strong motor is important as many EUCs have a bad behavior of shutting off the motor when overtaxed, dumping you into a faceplant. The 460WH battery pack is supposed to be good for 25 miles (totally flat ground, light rider). I haven't tested that, but it seems to last pretty long on a charge. The design is one of the most tasteful among EUCs (the amazing disco lights can be turned off or configured to your preference using the companion app). It is pleasantly thin, so it doesn't make you bow legged riding it. The pedals are large, solid, and have very good grip (skateboard tape like stuff on top). The pedals are higher than many other EUCs. On the one hand, this makes the V8 easier to manoever and less prone to pedal scrape on tight turns, but on the other hand, it takes some getting used to as you're a bit wobblier. The integrated trolley handle works well. It comes up to a good height, unlike many EUC handles (I'm 6' tall), and is reasonably sturdy. It is spring-loaded and locks flush into the body when not in use. The built-in headlight is good and bright, and the tail lights are reasonably visible. The biggest distinguishing design feature of the V8 is the decorative "disco lights" built into the side of the body. I guess they are a good safety feature because they make you way more visible too. The lights can be programmed via the companion iOS and Android apps, and the built-in patterns are pretty cool. Being able to turn the lights off is also cool, as they can be a bit much.If you get the V8, particularly if you're new to EUCs, get the OEM protective cover. It's a bit ugly, and covers up the beautiful design, but it is well-made, nicely padded, easy to put on, and will protect your shiny new toy. Unfortunately, it obscures the flashy disco lights (but not the head or tail lights).

One nice electric unicycle.
First of all ignore the "bike assembly option" on the Amazon page. There is nothing to assemble. I bought this after mastering a Solowheel S1, and have now the v8 for three months. My typical riding is thirty minutes to an hour on bike paths in the parks, or the four mile round trip run to Starbucks on city streets, bike lanes and sidewalks. The v8 is a gigantic improvement over the Solowheel, although to be fair it costs a lot more too. I am 6' and 220 lb, so I was a bit over the suggested weight for the S1, but well within the limits for the v8. This is a 16" wheel, so it will do better over rough terrain, broken concrete or potholes than a 14" wheel. Think in terms of being able to go over 2" bumps no problem, or 3" or 4" bumps with some care. After one learns to wobble around upright on an electric unicycle, expect to spend some time learning the details. How to stop and start, turn on one foot, maneuver around people and objects, handle the occasional dog that chases after you. How to turn and look around WITHOUT changing balance and heading off inadvertently in a different direction. How to ride and carry things at the same time. The best features of the v8 are the carrying handle, serious range capability, the power, auto-off on picking the unit up, and the height of the footrests. The carrying handle means you are able to drive it down a city street, get to a busy intersection, walk it across, then retract the handle and hop back on, instead of having to lean down and pick it up and carry it.Great unit, lots of fun. I recommend.

So much fun!!!
This was one of the biggest impulse buys I've ever made and I'm so glad I did. It's so much fun to ride. I did my research on different electric unicycles and the inmotion V8 always came in the top of best of lists so you will not be disappointed. It took me a couple of days to get the hang of riding it but now I'm going everywhere on it. 5 stars

Ride comfort
No padding on the sides. The earlier models had nice padding on each side which made for a comfortable ride.

Lots of improvements convinced me to upgrade
I’ve had my Solowheel Glide 3 for four days now and love it. I’ve commuted with it on the train and driven it on downtown city streets and sidewalks.

Getting one? Get Wrist Guards. Get Knee Pads. Get a Helmet. Prepare to practice a lot.
I'm writing this review with damaged hands. Buyer Beware: Get Wrist Guards. Get Knee Pads. Get a Helmet. These are very well built machines. They're incredibly powerful.

Every euc is different
So far I'm very happy with it and have been riding daily since the 4th. It's lighter than my E+ and handles differently.
