Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter, B4 (2/3") Lens to Micro Four Thirds (M 4/3, MFT) Camera Body, for Olympus Pen E-P1 & Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1, DMC-GH1, DMC-GF1

Picked up a B4 mount lens, and wanted to try it on my G7. This adapter is solid, and after setting proper back focus on the lens, it is tack sharp. Sharper than any other lens I own. Using this adapter and the lens I bought, not only makes my rig look impressive, but the image quality is amazing. Do not use this adapter, and expect your camera to support any lens you put on it. The lens I have weighs several pounds, so you need a good support structure to tie it all together.

Would not fit a “B4” mounted lens, so not sure how it would perform if I could have used it

I really like this mount , its good quality , the only issue I have is that the support where the 1/4" connects doesn't hold the lens flush as the lens is heavy and the hole is not centred. If it was solid and centred it would be ideal but nothing wrong with the mount adapter itself.

Kind of stinks. Yes, it technically can mount a B4 lens to a MFT camera, but it isn't very good at doing so optically. Backfocus is beyond off as well.

I used the adapter one day in a production and now its loose.It's too weak for professional use or prosumer work

Bought this to allow me to use an Angenieux ENG lens on my micro four thirds camera. Tried to put this adapter onto the lens and it would not go on. The mating face of this adapter is of too small an internal diameter to allow the B4 rear lens assembly through to allow the mating faces to meet up and allow the bayonet flanges to be engaged.One of these items is out of specification and not fit for purpose. Given that its Angenieux versus Fotodiox I'm in no doubt where the problem lies and I speak as someone who works in the broadcast industry with B4 mounts every working day.

Build quality is very good, but for what it is it is overpriced for what it actually is. There is a gap in the market for this particular adapter, hence Fotodiox charging over the odds.The fact that the adaptor comes with no front or rear caps or case for over £100 is very annoying as I would have like some kind of protection from dirt/dust during transit. This means you have to clean it before each and every use. Not to mention the adaptor still had a black soot inside from the manufacturing process. WARNING clean thoroughly before use.

Obwohl ich schon einen Adapter von B4 auf MFT besitze, habe ich mir nun den Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter gekauft. Warum? Ganz einfach - beim Fotodiox Adapter ist der Montagefuß so angebracht, dass man problemlos das ENG-B4 Objektiv komplett mit diesem Adapter vom MFT Mount der Kamera - in meinem Fall eine JVC GY-LS300 - abnehmen kann. Da bei der JVC der Regler für den ND-Filter neben dem Objektivanschluß sitzt, schwenkt bei anderen Modellen der Montagefuß bzw. deren Verschraubung gegen das Filterrad. Den Montagefuß zu entfernen bringt auch nichts, da man den nach der dann einfachen Objektiv Montage nicht mehr festschrauben kann. I.d.R. sitzen die Befestigungsschrauben axial zum Objektiv und man kann daher die Schrauben zur Befestigung des Fußes erst gar nicht mehr einsetzen. Und ohne diesen Fuß sitzt das gesamte Gewicht von, je nach ENG Objektiv, doch einigen Kilogramm komplett am MFT Mount. Für diese Gewichte ist der MFT Mount aber gar nicht gedacht.Fazit: Der Fotodiox Adapter B4 auf MFT ist ideal geeignet, um schnell und einfach die Kamera von ENG Objektive mit B4 Mount auf Film- oder Fotoobjektive umzurüsten. Das funktioniert mit diesem durchdachten Adapter innerhalb von 1-2 Minuten.Klare Kaufempfehlung wegen der guten Montagemöglichkeit und auch wegen der sehr hochwertigen Verarbeitung.

To my surprise it also came with a little tripod adapter so it has a screw mount on the bottom. Very nice!I'm happy with this product!
