Nice looking latch with great design and features
I've worked in construction my entire life, so for me, this was easy to install. It might be a little challenging for non-mechanically-minded people. But, if you have the tools, and know how to use them, installation should be no problem.I've installed and used many different types of gate latches over the years, and this is by far the best one.I like it so much, I have installed it on 2 of our gates, and will be replacing the latch on our third gate with this one as well.

Nice handle
This gate latch worked well. It felt very heavy in the packaging but I was still slightly dissappinted on the thickness of the actual latch. Overall it works smoothly and has a sharp professional appearance. I can't say much on longevity quite yet.

Muy buenos
Hola! Sería tan amable de recibir este pedido porque lo compre equivocado y no le sirve a la puerta. Yo se que ya paso el tiempo de retorno, es que lo iba a usar en otro país y no fue posible al no servirle a las puertas. Gracias por su ayuda

Does the job, needs better instructions.
The instructions don’t tell you much. If you install it the handle on the right side with the gate swinging in, your thumb latch on the inside of the gate will be upside down. I screwed up and installed the latch on the inside notch and realized I can’t lock it now unless I reinstall it properly but I will have that big hole where the lever goes in. I might actually do that, go to Home Depot and buy a new picket and replace the one it drilled into.

Does not come with hardware for thumb lever.
Extremely poor design. Aside from the poor instructions printed on the back of the packaging (go to product images for better "looking" instructions), the thumb latch is free floating. It sits in the drilled hole and rests on the wood. Theoretically, anyone could just pull out the thumb latch. Any moulding on the exterior of the fence/gate joints will inhibit your ability to freely place your hand into the handle. There are nine (9) holes, minimum, that must be drilled into wood for installation. Even if the you're not concerned about the look of your gate later on, 9 holes leaves one prone to mistakes or split fencing/posts.

Gate latch works fine.
It works the way it is supposed to. The instructions were perfect on how to set the set the latch and lock. I've had it installed on my shed for two months now and have no issues.

one caveat
Nice piece of hardware and installed just fine on my gate. One caveat, they provide a through bolt for the bottom of the handle and in my case it was not the best fastener. The gate I built was pressure treated 2x4 frame with cedar pickets on the front. I installed the latch on a vertical 2x4 on the frame so I could control the height of the latch. The bolt provided for the bottom of the handle was about 1.5" so not long enough to go through the 1" cedar and 2x4 so I went and bought a 2" bolt and counter sunk the back of it. Later it occurred to me I should have just used another lag bolt and not drilled a hole through my gate frame. It's not clear to me why they chose to use a bolt fastener at that location, other than maybe it's only meant to go through a picket member and not a frame.
