Fortnum and Mason British Tea, Russian Caravan 25 Count Tea Bags (1 Pack)

I ordered Russian Caravan tea from Fortnum and Mason British Tea. After receiving the tea I brewed a cup and it did not have the smoky flavor and nose I expect from Russian Caravan. I wrote a negative review and received an unsolicited refund from Fortnum and Mason. I tried the tea again and it still does not have the nose or flavor I anticipated but I very much appreciate the outstanding customer service and dedication to making things right. This is the reason for the new review with a 5 Star rating.

Russian Caravan tea is supposed to be a smokey tea. And for this price I expected a high quality tea. This is neither. This is a bland, weak tea. No smoke. Barely any tea flavor. A waste of $20.

This tea is pricy and spicy, not smoky,which is my idea of Russian Caravan.Regardless, the body and flavorare uncommonly good.

The taste is wonderful. Be sure you steep enough to get the full flavor. I recommend a splash of milk. No bitter aftertaste. I have a cup every afternoon. My teenage grandkids love this tea as well and they are very picky.

Not as smokey as some Russian Caravan teas I've had, but this one is still finely balanced and extremely smooth. A fine purchase!

I wanted to like it. But I think Russian Caravan should be seriously aromatic. This is not.

This tea was a gift , which the person shared with me .. robust , lovely flavor . I would highly recommend this tea .
