installed it as soon as I got it out of the box and ran for 1hr with no issue in running out of power. I can leave it in my truck for a week and pull the cam out and take HD video for hrs and not even put a dent on the power. I should have done this a long time ago

They do last longer than the OEM battery. I've noticed that my camcorder blinks after it charges it, an error code of some sort. Using an external charger the battery gets more of a charge, and I don't get the blink issue on the Sony camera. The weight is negligible, and it's a bit stiff the first time snapping it in the camera. I had to put it on and off a couple times before it fit easily like the OEM battery does.

So if u are using this with a sony hxr-mp50u just be warned that the battery fits in the camera but it's just a few mm too wide and blocks the little mechanism that keeps it in place from fully extending, so the battery is likely to fall out with enough force.

This battery does work as a replacement for the original NP-FV70A in my camcorder. The instructions that are included with it seem to be generic, they mention a battery terminal cover that is not included, and there are no specific technical details, just words of caution and warnings. Compared to the original camcorder battery, this battery supposedly has 40% more capacity (the original battery is 1,900mAh). This battery is slightly smaller than the original one (same base-plate size, of course, but the height is about 1/4” smaller), it is lighter, and in actual use it seems to have more capacity than the five years old original battery, though my estimate is about 25% more at most. The estimate is based on duration of use until discharged. The original battery has seen quite a number of charging cycles, it surely is no longer at the initial capacity. There may other factors at play, but the higher capacity does not seem to translate in a proportionally higher duration of use.The real measure of quality for such batteries is, in my experience, how well they maintain their capacity over time, with usage and recharging cycles. I only have one complete cycle on this battery, I will revisit my rating if this battery exposes the issue of rapid capacity decrease.

I charged the battery and installed it on a Sony HD camcorder. First use it lasted really well but the case separated from pack. I've never had this happen to any other packs so not sure why this one separated. Not very happy with this battery right now.
